I just noticed that Dragon Lasers' Viper pointer is now only $300, instead of around $375 like it used to be.  Quite a reduction in price if you ask me, I'm suprised... :)

Any relation to Nova's X sale I wonder...

Doesn't even look like a sale either, as I can't see any promotions or anything.

Looks like they just dropped the price for good :-?

This will certainly put preasure on Nova Lasers right now, even though they're probably the best choice for this style of laser. It just means Nova are going to have to hold that price if they want to hold any value with the CNI pen.

But how is the rep. of Dragon comapared to Nova? I mean, Dragon has sent some bad units out, but I don't think that ANYONE has been unsatisfied with their lasers from Nova. But honestly, that with Dragon was long ago, so maybe they are better now.

i've seen nothing but rave reviews for DL recently, so I wouldn't worry about it too much, but like buying any laser I'd want to have the power verified

Yeah, I agree. DL says in their live chat that they individually test their lasers on a LPM. But why can't they send the test results with the lasers like Nova do? If they will start doing that, I think that they will get even more customers because then everyone KNOWS that their laser is up to spec. At least I would be more comfortable of buying one from them then.

I second that, not that I don't feel comfortable buying from them, but it would be much more reasuring to know it's exact power.

Every laser company has sent out bad lasers.

I haven't heard of anyone having problems with Dragon Lasers except for 1 incident that happened a while ago.

I'd say Dragon Lasers is safe to buy lasers from, at thus that is a pretty damn good deal there ;)

Re: Woh!  Viper 125mW only $300!?

I have bought a DL Viper 95 mW in January of this year (I received it in only six days, and I live in Italy) and it works great. The first test I can confirm for now is that it lights a match in eleven seconds from a distance of 40 cm (15.75 in); I'm planning to make a video showing this result.
What I can additionally say is that their kindness and courtesy is the best I have found: they always answered to all my questions, and I got the answer to my last question in only seven minutes!

Sorry BUT you should take a further look around on this forum there about 4 issues with Nova Lasers lately and that includes mine; they are not what they were before; QA & customer serviced has slipped majorly.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. :( The last time I spoke to them, customer service was really good, but that seems to have changed. There are soon not many good laser companies left in the world, Optotroics seems to be the best at the moment. I heard that laserglow sent out some bad units recently as well.
