To me WL is about as useful as a tick on dog. They are over priced and a joke. I if I had the money could build something just like theirs for about two hundred... So why the heck would I pay 2 grand for one of theirs.. They are not well received here on the forum and I know most of the vets have at least one of their lasers or flashlights but still I would not pay for any thing of theirs.. I saw somewhere on the net some one took twenty 100 watt cree leds and made a flashlight out them.. my god why the he&* would you build some thing that could fry your eyes in less than a second eye protection is a must.. same thing with wl well that my two bits

10 to 40 minutes continuous use.

Except for melting plastic ants its the most useless flashlight on the planet.

I saw Kipkay cooked a turkey with 8 of these on a TV show. $1600 to cook a turkey with a flashlight. I'll stick with my oven.

I have a feeling Kipkay has a lot to do with WL. Like, part owns the company or something. A good number of his laser videos have references to WL, he gets sent devices (like iPhones) BY WL to destroy (with WLs, of course) and he's always making videos to do with winning WLs.

I doubt Kip has any ownership of WL, but he does make good use of the WL affiliate program. Unlike most hobby laser companies, WL offers a high paying referral program which drives their business, and gets highly viewed YouTube channels like Kip's to promote them. There is some serious money to be made if you are willing to push their products on a large audience.

I don't push their stuff on my YT channel because I am not a fan of their advertizing tactics. I feel that a lot of buyers don't quite realize the danger in the lasers they are buying from them. That being said, they do send a good deal of safety info with the stuff they sell, which you won't find from most other companies.

They also did not mention eye saftey for the lasers that they mentioned.

"The folks over at Wicked Lasers are best known for their spectacular and slightly dangerous handheld lasers."

Sorry, just don't see a need to mention safety in the context that one sentence is in. It's just a quick reference as to what the company is known for. They did mention dangerous though, so that's something.

Also, the article is by Wired, it's just on Yahoo Tech.

Ahhh yes, how WL doesn't mention about how dangerous these things are.

http://i.imgur.com/7xWLdIj.jpg

I believe it's the only company that does this, to start with...

Let's talk about company's or persons that don't....
Let's digg our own grave.. shall we.
Let us concentrate on us, and not them... shall we.
We bring shit upon ourselfs the way some talk.
let's critisize ourselfs..
Saying you can buy this and that for this price and that price.... no where do i see mentioning about safety.
It's like you can build or buy your own pipe bomb... don't worry about safety...Throw me some cash and you can have it.
That's our mentality right ?

\Think about it..

This is related to the WL seeking haters sheeps..
Price aint the issue here,,, safety is ... like this topic starter trying to mention about WL.
Go F yourself, and F your avarter.
