Edit: I recently got in touch with someone else from the company, (thanks to some advice from people in this thread!), and I am currently trying to get this sorted out. If it all works out I will change the title of this thread to something less harsh.

Hi there everyone.

This is the first time I've posted on these forums, and I registered specifically to give people in the community the heads up.

I ordered a 400mw laser from Max at Lazerer in April of this year, and because of a processing error, they didn't even notice the order until a month later when I asked them about it. Another month and a half roll by and I finally receive it, with the case and laser reading, safety glasses, everything, and it was DOA. I could not believe that after waiting that long it was dead when I got it. I emailed Max about it and he said it wasn't broken, that it was fine when he sent it. Eventually after a few emails to him explaining that it was NOT a battery issue and that the unit itself was defective, he finally agreed to fix it. I sent him the unit, and waited. And waited. Another month rolls by, and I ask him what is going on?

Max says they will look at it, that after a month and a half they finally got it. So he confirmed that he received my laser. Another month passes without a word. I email him again about the laser, and no reply.

What?

So again I email him back stating that this is ridiculous, that it was (then) SEPTEMBER and i havent even heard word that he is fixing it? I asked for a refund, because it was not worth this kind patience with a company who seems to be doing everything they can to avoid me. I have not heard back from him since *august*, and am fully convinced that I have been defrauded at this point

The fact that Max has replied to emails sent to him by some of you guys as recently as October suggests that he is just straight up going to be stealing my money, and with it ANY trust I had that he would make this right.

I am beyond angry at this point, but it seems there is nothing I can do since its conveniently *way* past the point of being able to dispute this with my credit card provider, mainly because it took him A MONTH to even see that i had given them my money

If any of you have some insight as to what is going on here, I would love to hear it. Otherwise, it appears that Lazerer.com will steal your money if they feel like it, and I really think people should know about this kind of thing. Any help on this matter would be great, because I really don't appreciate being ripped off like this.

Re: WARNING - Do not purchase from Lazerer

when i got my red laser from them i paid through paypal and i had a browser error, the money got sent and they confirmed it the next day since i emailed them, they thanked me for making sure they saw my order... so i guess any little bit of funny business has a chance to slip through the cracks. You also didnt state what method you used to send the package. A month and a half for an item to or from china isn't unusual, especially when they have a shipping holiday. They should definitely get you what you paid for, im sure they will. Lazerer has a great rep here and with me personally, i have no reason to believe they would just take your money. Good luck.

Re: WARNING - Do not purchase from Lazerer

Hey I placed an order with Lazerer after doing some research and finding mixed, but still good feedback as far as their customer service. I ordered my laser on the 18th, 3 days later it was still pending. After 3 emails, I got a reply from Max saying that my payment hadnt cleared. The next day I got an email saying they had overlooked my payment and that he was doing his best to expedite my order. Two days later, I have a tracking number for my EMS shipping, and today it is on a flight to me in the states.
So what Im getting at, it is best to stay in contact with max, and as long as you are patient and FRIENDLY

Re: WARNING - Do not purchase from Lazerer

Thanks for the input.

Let me reiterate, its not the shipping time I am concerned with. I have purchased many many things from china, including a laser from wickedlaser so I know how long and brutal wait times can be, and was prepared for it.

Its more the fact that since max said he *received* the broken laser I sent him, He has not gotten back to me at all about the status of it, or whats going on with it. That was the 14th of August. He said it was most likely a soldering issue of the switch, and it is now October. More than 2 months later, and they have not replied to me at all about anything.

Considering that they have been in contact with people on this board in October, what else can I really think is going on here? You would think that after having such delays they would want to you know, try and make an effort to let me know whats going on.

It has been *over 6 months* since I placed my order. All I want is the laser I paid for or a refund, and being so far out of the loop on this is extremely frustrating.

Re: WARNING - Do not purchase from Lazerer

Lots of variables, lots of time for things to have gone wrong, things neither of you could control.. Keep emailing him. He will make it right, or explain why he cant. It is EXTREMELY frustrating:gun:, I understand. This is the risk we all take though, its not an isolated occurence.
Keep emailing him:wtf:
Hes done good by every complaint Ive seen or heard of..
Good Luck

Re: WARNING - Do not purchase from Lazerer

I personally purchase from them three times with no problem. lazerer is a company with very good reputation. Why don't they just say they did not receive your laser if they want to scam your money? IIRC their support email sales@lazerer.com has down for a while so I directly email to their paypal email lzrpay@gmail.com. Max told me they did some domain and server upgrade so chance your email was missed for this reason.

Try to send them an email to :lzrpay@gmail.com. Or use the "contact us" button at the bottom on their homepage <---I think this will be the most updated way to get contact will them. Good luck man.

Re: WARNING - Do not purchase from Lazerer

Jerry, in the past they were nobodies. Nowadays they´re popular, and don´t need LPF people as take-off ramp. What I´ve read in the past weeks, Lazerer is on a similar route as O-Like and Rayfoss.
On the other hand, with rising sales, there is a higher chance that the end user has not much or no experience with lasers. They put in the batts in wrong direction or don´t respect the duty cycle. Also the company staff won´t do decent work on quality control sometimes as they recruit many non-experienced laborer to meet the mass shipment.

But in the end, I still hope Max and his company is gaining ground again and getting back to the quality they provided when Lazerer was formed.

Re: WARNING - Do not purchase from Lazerer

I could not disagree more with the title of this thread.

This is thus far the only laser company from China I have dealt with, and from a look below at my signature you can see that, and this was all within the past 3 months. I have nothing, but wonderful things to say about them.

The deal with Max not seeming to notice Pay pal payment confirmations happend to me on my recent purchase, so for anyone ordering make sure once you pay, your status switches from pending to processing within 2 days...otherwise contact Max to check it out. It shouldn't take longer. In fact once you pay, usually it changes to processing that day.

In my emails with max we were almost having a live conversation as he was replying minutes after my emails. He apologized and threw in a free pack of 10 flashpapers for my trouble, which was not really a trouble. Just a 2 day delay.

I'm saying this for anyone who read the title and is worried about trying them out, cause they are actually great...That is my experience with them.

As for the OP, I don't know what to say. Sounds like a horrible fluke. I have heard of someone emailing Max from a different email-address and got a hold of him that way...the theory being that his emails were going to junk mail.

Re: WARNING - Do not purchase from Lazerer

You're frustrated, and with good reason.

At this point you are very far past the time when you could have filed for a dispute. Your only option is to either ask Max for a refund, or a replacement.

Try contacting him from another email as Nimoxp suggest.

Be nice. If you are in any way not nice... Max has absolutely no reason to bother with you. As a customer you must realize that you just used your "nuclear" option with this thread. So try again, explain the whole situation to him. Trust me, if he deals with tons of people, as do most folks in retail, and memory tends to fade quickly. Email 1: "Hi I ordered laser so and so, here is my order number, it came broken and late, was sent back, did you receive it??" Await reply. Once you receive reply "Since the laser is defective, please refund me. Thank you, sincerely, etc,."

Go into more detail in both emails, but I suspect you get the idea.

The biggest problem I see is I'm guessing you placed the order, and then didn't follow up until a month later.

Chinese shipping can take forever. Processing should not.

After 1-2 weeks it's generally a good idea to follow up with an email to see if the package has been shipped...

Try also messaging Max here on the forum. He doesn't pop in often, but does once in a while, and checks his PMs.

Good luck, and post back with progress.

Re: WARNING - Do not purchase from Lazerer

The first time that I ordered from them, I had absolutely no problems. Laser processed quickly and shipped even faster. I was highly satisfied.

Second time, I had many complications with ordering. Apparently the original paypal address that they used had been hacked and they had switched to a new one. So I had to dispute my original payment and reorder. As of now it has been two months since my laser has been "sent" and they have yet to help me at all. I don't know if it is just company problems or what, but right now I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless they were willing to take a risk.

I went through the same problem.

Ordered, followed up order with a PM, and email, Max replied day later apologizing, and telling me to dispute the charge, which I did.

Escalated the dispute to a claim. Claim was never contested, and I got my money back about a month later.

Since then, before placing any order, I usually email him first and confirm the paypal email.

Re: WARNING - Do not purchase from Lazerer

I just wanted to point out that i just recently bought my first laser pointer from lazerer (around 4 days ago), and my order is still on PENDING.

Is this normal with lazerer? i sent 2 mails to the owner asking him if everything was ok but he hasn't answered me.

When i check my account balance the transaction does appear in the history, meaning lazerer has the money already.

Getting kinda impatient right now, any of you guys had a similar case?

Man... don't eat your socks... It's only been 4 days...:D

From experience it can take up to 30 days to get items from
China.
Continue to contact Max through the links given above and
don't forget that a lot of sellers don't work on the weekends.
If you paid by PayPal you have 45 days to open a Dispute.
There is plenty of time left. Your $$$ is not lost.

Hey dude lazerer claim that they process all order in 7 day not including public holiday. Remeber it is holiday in the last two days so you may not expect a reply until Monday.

OK it start to look a bit weird while dozen of new members pop up and share their amazing experience with lazerer and then just gone?

Re: WARNING - Do not purchase from Lazerer

To the OP:

Just email Max and ask nicely for a refund.

He will refund you even though it has been a long time since the transaction was made.

He is an honest man.
