This. My retaining plate on my Lazerer Rifle came slighty loose from Max. A gentle quarter of a turn or so snugged it up and it has worked flawlessly since. Of course this may or may not be your problem, but Max will make it right.

Very true. Such retaining plates may get loose during the transport. We all know many parcels are not treated well while being shipped. Also. Just a not correctly working powerbutton is not a big issue against a else well working on-spec laser.

This is not defending a company, but looking at the facts.

So if it comes to quality control those dirt cheap powerbuttons, that are even cheaper in their production, may work correctly for the seller but cause malfunktion for the buyer after they arrived. So anyone tell me how the seller will know a stupid powerbutton, that worked for him flawless, will stop working like it should after it arrives at the customers door?

@CVB The only guy here are you. Or should I better say a 13yrs old kid who even didnt earn the money for the laser he got as a gift. So before arguing with us you better find a job and learn first how hard it is to earn this amount of money your laser usually costs. Then we can discuss about what you will be thinking about a company who needs to corrupt kids with expencive gifts.

So even dont start telling me we are just jealous. I for sure not, just grown up and unbiasad because I never dealed with the company you got your laser from and paid all my lasers with the money I earned. Not like you.

$hit happens and will happen even to the best company. But this should be the exeption of the normal.

I just received my Devil Rifle V2 and it stopped working after 5 minutes, I did notice that right before it quit the laser flickered a little bit and then died altogether. Would something like that signify a tail cap issue? I have contacted max but I figured I would do some research until I hear from him. And I have no idea how to work on my tail cap and I don't want to ruin it, I can try and tighten it but that's about it.

Those lasers are not designed to run for several minutes. The duty cycle is 60sec on and 60sec off. If you run it for longer you might demage it. So the flickering could mean it died already if you ran it for longer than the recommended duty cycle or your batteries were not fully charged.

To check out its just the tailcap you simply can use a wire between the positive end of the battery and the host.

I should have been more clear about the "5 minutes", I understand the duty cycle and I definitely did not run it for 5 straight minutes. The duty cycle is 60on/60off and I made sure to stay within those limits. I charged the batteries fully and tried it again but no change. And after my first post someone else recommended bypassing the tail cap but unfortunately that also didn't work. I guess my problem is internal so I'll wait for max to reply because I do not have enough knowledge to be screwing with anything else.

Oh, that doesn't sound good. Not a tailcap problem then.

As I posted in the thread you made about this; did you check your batteries before suspecting the laser of fault?

Here's my $0.02 on the tailcap issues. My LZPL has a tailcap issue. Here's my solution. I just took a magnet an put it on the end of my battery. For some reason this works for me. I can't say it'll work for anyone, but it works for me. The magnets are 1.5mm Neodymium cylinders.

Just thought I'd weigh in.

i Had the same issue with my 500mw blue laser stick from lazerer. The tailcap stopped clicking after 1 week appond arrival. I emailed MAX and he told me the only way i could get the tailcap fixed was if i sent him my tailcap so he could fix it, which i didnt want to do since it would take a looooong time to get to him and a looong time for the tailcap to get back to me. so long story short. i had to buy a new host for 12$ because MAX said he coudnt send me the tailcap because it is sold as a whole with the host. This was the only thing i didnt like about lazerer. The way they handled my defective tailcap issue.
