Dear all,
I am looking for a hight quality 532nm Laser with real power of 50mW.
I need a bandwidth of less than 0.5nm

all the lasers i got on ebay or any where else are deceiving, as the line is really broad and the power @ 532 is really low (when i filter only the line @ 532nm)

i was shocked to know that the lasers i am looking for are really very expensive (not les than 4300$ at StellarNet.us)

I just discovred the Thunder Optics company at thunderoptics.fr
and they offer a laser that i am looking for 2000€

please, does any one has already got some thing from them?
as they also sell some laser pointers like what we can see on ebay ..

Please, answer me urgently so i can decide to buy it or not ...

I am desperate !

Yes, most diode based lasers have very wide bandwidths. This is what makes them unsuitable for holography. I looked at CNI, but didn't want to have to get the PDF just to get a price. Good luck. :)

Good thing you didn't bother looking at the PDFs ---they do not have prices listed nor is there a price list anywhere on the web site. With CNI they prices vary because of many factors so always you need to ask for a quote on whatever you are interested in.

Good to know. I wouldn't be going there for a brand new laser as they are very expensive. Especially the narrow bandwidth diode pumped ones.

Why not use a 532nm narrow band filter --they are available in 2 and 5 nm in bandwidth? Would save some money.
Even 1nm bandwitdh is available.

HAve a look at what CNI offers in 532nm here: CNI 532nm Green Laser

Thank you Encap for the wire !

Yes, indeed, they have very good products, even if they are chineese .. and i can't get the prices

for the filters ... i need really a narrow one 0.1nm ! and this is really expensive (~300$ !)

Also, i got an offer from thunderoptics.fr ... i think a very good one :
300€ for 150nm TEC cooled, and connected to optical fiber! it is just incredible (stability 5% 3 hours) (their Gem Raman System Gem Raman System » Thunder Optics - Science and Knowledge for all )

they made me an offer also .. Raman spectrometer for 3.500€ ...

I will take some time looking for may be better offer of lasers ..

please, if some one know of better offer will let me know

and the CNI Laser seems really nice ... let's wait for their answer about the prices ;)

all the best

Though they don't list the bandwidth, it should be a very good laser. Unfortunately it needs a power supply also. I would want a guaranteed bandwidth before buying it.

Power supply shouldn't be hard to sort out. These lasers come up on eBay often though so keep an eye out - they are a good choice. SLM, great beam specs and from everything I've read very narrow bandwidth. I was blown away by the beam specs on the one I had, it made the beam on a small air cooled argon look fat.

Coherent Compass 215M or 315M - both good. Power output is usually specified after the model number. So 50mW would be 215M-50 and so on. Both come up on eBay often - sometimes you get a good deal. Might find one on Photonlexicon too - they may also be able to offer something else to do the job over there.

Could fire off an e-mail to Coherent or call them and ask what the bandwidth is supposed to be - or at least get a somewhat typical value. Should be less than the 0.5nm you need if everything is functioning properly.
