www.novalasers.com without question
unless you don't mind Techlasers' lack of customer support
and this is fact not my biased opinion

nova looks cool, but is EXPENSIVE

125mW tech is 230 I believe?

and the 95mW puts out 115 or so for some reason, saw multiple vids of coherent testers showing that. wither that or it was a rigged vid

NO NO NO!!!!!

TL is the worst... I got a worse than crappy laser from them, and their customer support doesn't exist.

Nova is absolutely the way to go. ;)

Other than nova, is there a cheaper way to go?

What is the best priced yet most powerful noval lasers (under 300 bucks) and when I say 300 i mean preferably 200 or so

Check out what is said elsewhere on the forum about the "200mW" greenie from DX.
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1997

I got one and then a 2nd. I give them quite light use--seldom more than a minute at a time, but they got me into real burnin' at very low cost.

For heavy use, however, I'm simply not the one to give advice.

the x-105 package is only $229
and the average is usually 110mW-120mW
with peaks of over 120mW

This is essentially what you're getting if you order techlasers 125mW
so ur pretty much paying the same for either lasers
but you get nova's great support as well

edit** techlaser's 125mW is $289..

The lasers from TechLasers may be good and cheap, but their customer support seems to be non-existent, so if you receive a faulty laser from them, you're screwed.

NOVAlasers always ships out lasers that are overpowered, and it must be next to impossible to receive a defective laser from them, their lasers are more expensive though.

Most of the 125mW models are much more expensive compared to the rest, this is because (as far as I know) 532nm 125mW models aren't even manufactured in pen-sized models, so the ones sold everywhere are "freaks" or overpowered lasers.

To be honest, I think that a X-105 from NOVAlasers may be enough for you, they have similar output power as the 125mW models, and NOVAlasers would ship out a laser that outputs more than the stated 105mW.

I'm not being biased, believe me.

would an X-105 have significant power, be extreemely visible, and burn better or equal to a SenKat diode?

Which is better power/burn wise, DX 200mW or Nova x-105

Chief yer killin me ! LOL !!!

AMK - the Sony diodes I sell can easily be pushed to the 250mw mark, and beyond for short periods of time...I have one running at 270+ in a Dorcy jr mod at present (freak diode, freak driver? NOT pulling it apart to test !) and that one is going to Merl ! To get a decent amount of burning power, and bang for the buck in your budget - go with Nova. DX are good lasers, but cheaply made.

Thanx guys, PHEW I ALMOST FELL FOR TECH LASERS

im DEFINITELY going with nova, gonna get X-105, with the lens holder and lenses (hoping I can collimate sometime for better performance, and so I can do some coolio effects)

Now that I see it, there are WAY too many bad reviews on TechLasers.

Plus, I get the 11.47 dollars in credit when I buy X-105, plus member discount, which gives me the lens assembly for a little over 8 bucks!

If anyone has a refer link they want me to use, that would give them something, ill be happy to do it, first one to post a link gets it! (if there are refer codes for Nova?)

thanx guys,

amk

Moral of the story: SCREW TECH LASERS!!

BTW: LOL nice pic TL!!!
