Hi... I'm completely new to this laser game and to this forum!

Stunning collection of Sanwu lasers you have there!!! :)

So far I have ordered from Sanwu:

• 250mw 650nm Pocket Series
• 500mw 445nm Pocket Series
• Currently awaiting delivery of 3 Watt 445nm Silver Series

I'll post some pictures when I have all three.

Prior to owning my first Sanwu laser (250mw 650nm Pocket Series) I was struck by the comments left by other members of LPF
who had purchased from the company. Their reviews were all 10/10 and from the images posted, I could see the devices were so
well crafted that they were infact works of art. I figured that to spend less money on something random from eBay, was actually akin to
throwing money away. To spend a bit more on something exceptional, but reasonably priced, was the way to proceed and Sanwu does
just that. The quality of their lasers to me is outstanding. The Pocket Series is just remarkable, a lot of power from a tiny 10440 battery
and an exceptionally well crafted host. They're just gems to look at and hold, without even having to turn them on!

Top company!
Top products!

Great customer service!

I only have one - the Spiker, but I've never seen handheld lasers made as nice as Sanwu makes them. It's nice to see such a good product consistently being made by a company. Yes, it makes me want an all Sanwu collection too.

Hi Crazlaser,

I only ordered single mode on both Pocket Series lasers. From what I remember you can only have multi-mode on the 638nm and 650nm.

I really want to get a laser from them (love the look of the Spiker Sabre  ). Just want want to know a few things before I get it.

1. Is the safety lock feature (<10mw limit) available if I don't get the multi-mode version?

2. What are the G2 and G7 lenses I cen get? What do they do?

3. Can it be focused without the beam expander?

Thanks!

1. No, you need the multi-mode driver.

2. Different collimating lenses. I'm not the best person to answer on the differences. The 3 element will provide a smaller beam with better divergence than the G2/7 IIRC, but you'll lose power. The G2/7 produce a larger beam with worse divergence but more power. Someone else may want to clarify further.

3. Yes you can focus without, the beam expander makes the beam wider and improves the divergence. The expander is good if you want to burn things farther away or put a dot on something farther away.

Thanks a lot. How does the multi-mode work? I assume turning it on and off cycles through the modes?

From the product page:

Change Mode:
Half-tap to switch between mode.

Electronic lock:
To prevent unauthorized use, half-tap the tailcap 3 times within the first 3 seconds and wait for another 3 second after imput. Then it will lock as safety mode(<10mw)

Unlock:
Just repeat the same process but half-tap five times instead

Lol, I thought I was going crazy: On sanwulasers.org (where I was looking) it doesn't say that how to change modes (only activating the safety lock), but it does on their google site.

Ahh, fair enough, they must still be getting the two sites matched up ... although it's been a while already.
