You need to understand that the Chinese have a lot of
holidays during the year and are sometimes to at work...


But give them a chance to get back to work and make it
right... They are on the other side of the Globe and not
on our time zone...:cool:

Totally understand that, but holidays typically run for a few days and not weeks on end. My order was placed on 9/24. I can't believe that they shut down all lindustry for that amount of time. Certainly within a two week period, somebody would be handling orders or at least order related emails. Other side of the country or not, it's just bad business practice. If they can't process orders, then they should stop accepting them (or at least processing the PayPal transaction) until they are able to actually ship orders.

I've sent them yet another email, as well as opening a PayPal dispute, so maybe that will get their attention. I've told them that unless I get a response and a status update by Friday then I'll escalate it.

I initially felt good about placing an order with O-Like, mainly because of all the posts here praising their customer support, but unfortunately, I just plain haven't seen it personally.

Unfortunately you may not get an answer to your email and they may not respond to the paypal dispute until after the 7th due to the National Day holiday that runs every year from 10-1 to 10-7. Best thing to do is wait. Anytime something is ordered directly from a seller in China, it is normal to take 2-3 weeks. Possibly more if there are any holidays involved. If you are in the States and you placed your order on 9-24, then most likely it was already Saturday the 25th in Hong Kong. O-like would not have gotten back into the office until the 27th (9-26-2010 U.S. time) and they may have not had time to get to your order before National Day observances started. I would expect that the order would be updated to shipped by Monday the 11th at the latest, but if not, there may be a problem.

@Br553 - Thanks for the explanation - I had thought that even with the holiday, the order was placed a week prior, so that should have given them plenty of time to "process" my order. I'll give it a few more days and see what happens. So, today being the 6th (the 7th there) is the last day of their holiday, so I would think another 5 days should show some progress.

If the ir filter is left off is it dangerous to look at the dot that the laser projects or is it only an issue if the beam is directed right in the eye?

Hi calvinng!

If I order from O-Like I do not have to ask them to send separately the batteries and chargers?
What about the tail caps? Will they send that separately without asking? (I've heard stories that the customs on the border seized packages that contained laser pen and other products with tail caps.)

They will shipped the battery separately as I know.

the item will shipped with tailcaps but there is no sticker what so ever on the item...

and it is declared as flashlight... so I guess it is safe...

I've never ordered from Rayfoss, but I thought I should share my experience with O-like.

I placed an order for the 400 mW greenie on Jan 2. It was shipped from Hong Kong on Jan 4 (very early in the morning) and it arrived at my doorstep on Jan 5, noon! It was wrapped up very good so customs didn't even bother to open the package. It was also sent without battery, instructions or warning label, so no way to find out any specs.
