Yes, they have great lasers/customer service.

I still say that the x-100 is the best deal though, for only $30 more it would be guaranteed to light a match which (if you get a lower powered x-75) it might have trouble doing.

Also i would get some laser safety goggles instead of the optics kit if you don't already have them, you only get 1 pair of eyes.

If you want a nice case and you think you might order from Nova again, then go with the kit. If you don't need the case or the lightyears than just go with the laser.

my bud gave me a set of goggles for green ...i use them even if i'm messin around with my 5mw....good avice anywase.Lazer Gazer

Even if nova did send you a underpowered X-75, all youd have to do is contact them and they will replace it. Nova has awesome customer service. DX lasers are a gamble, you could get more than the rated power, or you could end up with a low power mode hopping POS.
