Problems with Lazerer

I ordered their 1W blue laser + battery + charger. It arrived relatively quickly (about 1.5-2 weeks) and worked great!
However, the next day one of the batteries stopped recharging, I emailed them about it - no response. So I ordered 2 new batteries on ebay, once again everything worked fine.

Then I tried to take the battery cap off (bottom part of the laser) and as I was untwisting it, it got stuck, wouldn't move back or forward, so I had to use pliers to unscrew it, obviously the thread got mashed in the process. Note: when I was putting the cap on prior to that, i did not use force, it twisted on with ease.

I emailed them about it too, noted that the threads were very flaky and asked since the laser can be disassembled, if I could get the bottom part of the laser replaced (just the battery compartment). I'd even be willing to pay for shipping. But once again, no response.

Overall - disappointed with their service (or lack thereof). Their prices are cheap for a reason. From my experience this is a buy-and-forget store. There're no warranties or customer support after the purchase.

On a related note, anyone know what spare parts I could use to fix it?
The laser in question: LZSK - 445nm 1W Focusable Waterproof Blue Laser Pointer.
am thinking of something like this maybe? 18650 Battery Extension Tube for TrustFire Flashlight Torch 1600 1200 3800 Lms | eBay
but not sure if the thread will fit. Any suggestions?

as long as it's working when you get it, you should be ok. just be real careful about any threads/connections on the laser

Post some pictures of what happened.

Max frequents the forum, so I'll point him to this thread.

There is really nothing to say about the batteries... they are cheap crap, but that's true for all cheap crappy batteries... nor are they warrantied in any way.

Please post pictures of the problem with threads though... I handled 5 of these hosts personally so far, and while the threads are a little rough... idk, they didn't seem that bad.

It just seems weird that after screwing the tailcap on and off repeatedly... the threads all of a sudden develop a problem.

Hi Andrei,

I just check on my email. You send us two email about the issue but the one before your last email is send on 9/12. It just a little over 24 hours apart from now and you sent another email on this morning 3.33am (Hong Kong time). And few hours later you open this thread. The whole action is happen within 48 hours. Infact we don't have enough time to respond to your question. We have large amount of email and order have to be processed since its near christmas. However we still try to respond every email within 24-48 hours. It would be appreciated if you can be more patience.

In respond to your question. If you twist the cap hard even the thread is not in corrent place it will demage the threand and suck the cap. I don't think the situation will bad like this if you didn't try to turn it hard. Anyway I can replace the battery to you no problem. I can replace the bottmo part to you no problem. I can even pay for the shipping no problem. Please understand is is not even a money to us and there is no reason that I have to avoid your email.

i already fixed it sorta, i sanded off the damaged threads and now it's just a pressure fit cap basically, i'll have to figure out some other way to attach it, but it kinda holds for now, so the picture won't show much

Max,

I tried untwisting it gently, but it wouldn't budge, i tried twisting it back on then off, and nothing. i realized that the threads got stuck, but I couldn't really do anything else.
Don't worry about replacing the battery, I already bought new ones and they work fine. I just need the battery compartment, that's all.

Thanks for replying!

Hey,

Btw - your website has a lot of glitched. 50% of the time I try to go there, there's a problem. Last night, it was taking me on an "infinite redirect loop" and Chrome had to shut it down. It kept adding sub-directories to your URL that finally ended in "index.php", and the site didn't work.

Just a heads up.

No problem Andrei will resend the part on monday. I hope you will have no problem to do a simple soldering as it is required to connect the upper part with the battery compartment.

Please note that the date of posting for christmas to canada (actually to most country) is expired. All the shipment made now will be delivered after christmas. We are so sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey max while you are here I might as well ask you a question. If a waterproof laser fails when submerged into water and gets damaged will you replace it? And how do you think I can safely submerge my cyber100. Will just making sure its tight keep water out or will I have to do maintenance every once in a while. Thanks! I haven't gotten it yet but im just asking before I try to submerge it in water.
