i bought the 200mW red has anyone had any problems on how to pay for their products? My laser hasn't come yet, but when it does i'll tell you how long it took ;)

I just bought One greenie Module ( you can see the test in my Other post ) and i can tell you, that susie was pretty quick. It tooks 10 days to arrive in Germany ( with RA Mail from Hong Kong Post ). THe Service of them is very good too. The payment, of course you must pay first and then they will ship it.

Mine was in bubblewrap in an envelope with no batteries (very smart and they're only AAAs).
Was marked gift - Electronics for Sample. Also did not have a warning sticker blatantly stating 80-100mw

Hey, wait a sec, seeing as I wrote you a nice email telling you to take as much time as you needed (quality being much more important to me), I think I should get one as equally powerful... *:p

Well so much for that... :(
But seeing as me & Pres Obama are full disclosure kinda guys, Susie has already suggested I send the module back and they will send me a "proper" 120~150mW... Now I just have to find the time...

p.s 2nd pic shows an IR filter and the slight drop (17%) in performance. All very nice figures (for a 50mW module...). Power "source" is a 3.6V CR123A, fully charged.

Question I have about O-like products (like the 180-200mW red burner or their Green burners) is this: Do they include IR filters or am I going to need to somehow juryrig some IR filter onto my new O-Like hand-held?

Most do not have IR filters.
IMO, I really think you should only worry about the IR from the green (and only if it's above 30mW). A 30mW green without IR filter may be giving off 5mW or more of IR light.

According to this thread: http://laserpointerforums.com/laser_pointer_forums_3/forum/showthread.php?t=25619
- one of their 150mW green modules gives off approx 15% (~23mW) IR.

The 400mW pointer from them is similar:
http://laserpointerforums.com/laser_pointer_forums_3/forum/showthread.php?t=30607
-"250-300mW green and 50-80mW IR"
In cases of higher powers, ie: burning greens, wear safety goggles, right./?/

The red burner shouldn't be putting out any IR, AFAIK.
The spec sheet says 650+/-5nm for the output wavelength of laser light, and IR is >750nm light.

I was also thinking of getting a laser from O-like... Do the illegal lasers get through customs without special instructions all right?
These lasers are not illegal if you are using them for legitimate scientific research or optical experiments (ie: fun). If you are worried about customs, simply tell Susie that you want the batteries shipped separately, and she will for $4 extra.

instead of doing the same thing again, how about next time you actually contact her/them through one of the 5 ways to contact them/her before you place your order to find out if it is in stock or not.

have some common sense
