I thought I'd try and sell stuff, EBay gave me a hard time at first, but everything seems calm now... I just got the traditional bot email and then changed a few things before re-listing.

405nm blu-ray SHOW/DISCO/"RAVE" laser module HIGH POWER - eBay (item 170485232742 end time May-15-10 09:41:08 PDT)

This legal stuff worries me a little, but everything should be ok... Right?

I don't really expect to sell this thing to any of you guys. Just thinking some guy may come across my listings and say "oh, cool" and buy it.

I know that thing ^^^^ isn't much, but I have plans for machining a host that houses 1w 9mm diodes and a computer fan. It'll happen, eventually.

This is just a test to see if I can actually sell anything before I start buying and building... I don't have much time, I should be studying right now... I should've started studying 5 hours ago.... OHHH NOOO I HATE MY LIFE.. I'm gonna faiiilllll! AHHHH I do this to myself toooo often, can anyone relate?

Edit: Wait, this could be the wrong category it doesn't have much to do with a company, or anything anyone would care to read for that matter...

I'd first omit the word "crap" for more of a professional term. Also omit the banter, or what you are planing on doing, stick with just the facts. Talk is cheap, you should let the feedback speak for itself. You're also mentioning other diodes. You cant compare the SF-AW to PHRs because they are 2 different diodes. Most people dont even know what a PHR is.

Dont take me wrong, its an OK add, its just not professional. If you looked more like a professional, more people will buy from you. If you look like a kid who just started building modules, your sales will suffer.

Of course, thanks.

I was a little tired and forgot about the nature of what I was writing, it reads like a casual email. I might tick someone off by talking down about the Korean sellers too, I'll edit it.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Constructive criticism only... :yh:

1) Your Text is too large
2) Like T-J said... it sounds like a kid and don't compare apples to oranges...
3) stating that you are a Professional makes me believe you are not..
3) stating it is not a pointer doesn't mean too much.. it is still portable..
4) get rid of this... it makes no sense and is outrageous
This is not a "pointer" but a "rave" unit designed for "rave" use.
For those who wish to participate in all-night techno dance parties involving
vaporized retinas and some radiation burns of course..

BTW what type/brand of Laser Goggles do you own...

Hey, just noticed this:
"Some overseas sellers claim 200-300mw, from their SF-AW210 diodes, this diode should absolutely not be driven at those levels. Yes it may be a 300mw diode, but if driven that high it may last only 2 minutes before it fails, in order to last a long time, those diodes should be driven around 100-120mw"

Well, eariler in text you mention using PHR diode, now you are saying something about SF-AW diodes.
Also, SF-AW diodes are good to 150mW with plastic lens, so that input is wrong on your side.

General advice, just describe your product technicaly, do not even try to mention anything else, like other sellers , diodes and overstatements.

Just put techical data, and that's it.

And don't state that you are professional with professional equipement. Saying so just backfires on you. Professional do not state it.

EDIT**
Wow, just noticed THIS:
This laser is not "meant" to be used like in that video above, that is only a demonstration. Do not use it as shown in that video, it must be mounted to a desk.
This is not a "pointer" but a "rave" unit designed for "rave" use. For those who wish to participate in all-night techno dance parties involving vaporized retinas and some radiation burns of course.
Don't shine this thing into your eye or anyone else's eyes, it'll fry your retina. Don't shine it at aircraft either. Don't shine it at people or animals, don't shine it at law enforcement personnel. Don't shine at anything.
By the way, Q-tips (cotton swabs) are not "meant" to be used in your ears as they can damage your eardrum if you are an idiot and try to clean your brain.

Dude, any sellers advertisement can do without that, you know. It's not cool. Nor funny.
Obvious attempt of making funny statement just double-backfires your statement of being professional.

lol you go from diodes to raves to retinas to q-tips. All I can say is...
wat6610684.jpg

You need to clean that ad up a LOT! most people won't have the knowledge to know what half of that gibberish means, and the other people who do will think its hilariously funny but they still won't buy because of the immaturity.

Just post what it is, and what it can do. Nothing more.

OMFG LOL HAHAHAHA

Where the hell did you come up with that pic?
Haha, the dude must be like: WTF

lol

On track, Agreed.
Noob folks do not understand it, folks that do can see it's real immature.

So basically, you need a total overhaul of your add.
Without blind-man's font this time.

Oh well I know it's horrible, I wrote that at 1:30am after being awake for about 36 hours, I don't want to mess with it anymore, I've got people bidding... I plan to sell more, next time I'll completely re-do the listing. I'll do it again sometime when my brain is functioning properly. My listing looks horrible, I'll make something short and professional looking. Who cares if I say the guy that made it is a professional? Technically all you need to be called a professional is to be making money at what you do, I'm not a marketing scientist.
