Nah, they're marked as flashlights and gifts. I don't think anybody had a laser siezed from O-like or Lazerer or other reputable companies.

You're just as far from China as I am, what's your point?

If me somehow being closer to China than you is a valid reason for you to spend $30 to lower your waiting time by a couple of days, by all means, go ahead. It's your money.

Time is money, right? I prefer money. If you order it now, two weeks from now you will have the laser EITHER way, except in one case, you'll have $30 extra to spend on beer, and in the other you will not.

Your choice.
 <- Possible way of spending money you might or might not end up saving.

It won't get taken, but if your customs are hell-bent on taking lasers, they're gonna get it no matter what carrier you use.

Personally, using cheap methods doesn't raise any suspicions. A " $20 flashlight" sent with $27 EMS express does.

Yes they do, you can check my review of 400mW green, it was automatically marked as $20 flashlight.

Maybe I am late, because you already ordered, but I would recommend on Lazerer actually.

I have had experience with both O-like and Lazerer.

I bought three lasers from O-like, two were underspec and one died a short while after it came. I had to return all three of them, two were replaced and one was refunded.

O-like's customer service was medium. Not replied to all emails, and I had to nag them for replies, but eventually they sent me good up to spec lasers, and refunded me for the dead one.

As with Lazerer, I bought three lasers from him. All of them came very fast on regular mail. Two are overspec, one was underspec and was refunded.

Lazerer's customer service is excellent. All emails replied within one day. Immediately refunded me to my request for the underspec laser and didn't insist on me getting a replacement.

All in all, I think that Lazerer is a better company than O-like.

Funny, asking various people around the forum about their experiences with O-like, after a while it starts looking like we're not all talking about the same O-like at all.

Some like me have had nothing bit great experience and will reccomend them anytime.

Others have had DX-level of quality and customer support with them and prefer alternatives. And not a mishap in one purchase or two, it's like that for majority of them, or all of them.

How can that be?

Has anyone recently bought a laser from laserer.com? How was the quality of the laser and their customer service?
I'm taking a look at this one: LZTN - 532nm 100mW Smallest Green Laser Pointer

If someone has a recommendation for another compact 100mW 532nm laser, I'd love to hear it! (I'm in the United States, so please factor that in.) I already have an Li-ion universal charger, so a charger will not be needed, but I will need a battery, preferably the protected 10440s.

Also, that laser looks similar to one on a site that is known to be a scam. (Lazerpoint.com) Same plastic case and all.

Thanks for your help!

By the way, does the power certificate have any practical use regarding the quality of the product, maybe it would make the manufacture more likely to have the output very close to what is specified?

UPDATE: so they came in today. I was pleased that it only took a week (i think) Currently i am charging the batteries. How long do they charge for? Should I be worried about overcharging? Is there any chance they could catch fire because they are some cheap chinese batteries?

If there is an LED indicator on your charger, it will change when they are done charging. If you are still unsure, take a multimeter and set it to measure volts, the batteries should measure about 4.1-4.2V when fully charged.

Thanks for the input. I charged the batteies till the led turned green. Btw so far the laser IS GREAT. I am really happy with my purchase. The laser burns things and is really bright. Soooo, i need a pair of glasses. My eyes somewhat hurt from looking at it kinda close. I would have biught a pair before, but i saved up for the laser and now im broke lol. I dont want o screw up my eyes, so will the uvex ones on amazon work? Anywhere else i can get cheap glasses that block red light? I am only really worried about the light.

The Uvex are specific for Blue, Violet, and some green as well. They won't help you with red. I can't recall off the top of my head if there are reasonably priced red protective goggles floating around, but I will suggest now that you stay away from O-like goggles. They are worthless.
