Those are nice man! I really like the 1 watt 445nm host and have looked at it many times.

Which colour of laser would u recommend? Blue or green? Is it true that blue laser beam will deteriorate over time compared to green or red laser beam?

It really depends on your price range. Most good quality high power green lasers are more expensive per mW than most high quality blue lasers. It just depends on your budget and price range. Look below for a good priced 400mW green laser, it is currently 13% off.

Is it true that blue laser beam will deteriorate over time compared to green or red laser beam?

Yes and no, its all a game of divergence. Divergence is how far the laser beam spread out by millimeter over meter, and is measured in mRad. For example, lets say you have a laser with a divergence of 1mRad and that the dot of the beam is 3mm at the lens. Over 1 meter the dot would then become 4mm, at 2 meters it would be 5mm, and so on and so on...If it had a divergence of 2mRad then at one meter the dot would be 5mm, at 2 meters it would be 7mm, and so on. All of it is in the optics, and quality is key. Alot of times green, red, and violet lasers have a round dot and a divergence of about 1-1.5mRad. On the other hand, blue lasers can be either round or rectangular, and the rectangular lasers usually have a divergence of 3+mRad.

On the same topic, it is also a game of the eyes...the human eye can see certain wavelengths of light better than others. If I remember correctly, and someone might want to back me up on this, the color most receipted by the eye is green, followed by yellows, then reds, oranges, blues, and last violets. That is why a 5mW green laser can be seen at a farther distance than a 5mW red one, and why the green laser beam is a lot easier to spot than a red one at lower powers.

I would recommend this laser as a starter...

O-Like 400mW Green Laser w/ Focus

As most people on the forum agree, laser safety goggles are a must with any laser over 5mW. Dragon lasers sells some good ones here. Use them, this is not an accessory or a question, it is a requirement...if you need one thread of thought(I try to be funny at times, this is one of them) here...

Hope all of this helps, and happy lazing

Yep, my recent orders from O-like have been great! Dhl brought my 1watt Sharp laser to my house in Texas in 3 days. That's is just awesome.

This laser:

It is now my favorite host because it's smaller then my hand, has the power, has great Battery life(I use Lighthound batteries, seriously the best batteries ever)is waterproof, and the host is beautiful. Don't be afraid to buy this host (anyone who thinks it's not good). It's great. It doesn't even get hot with long usage. The clip on it is great as well as the little holder.

Anyway, I am also very happy with O-like. Looks like they have really stepped up their game.

One watt:
O-like must have changed for the better since I bought from them.
I got hosed by them, received a laser that didn't work. Then had to wait a month for them to send me parts to make it work, and after all that, it only worked for 5. Days then went LED on me.
It's good to see that they are sending working lasers now!

I just got my "Weird" battery and charger in the mail (came over a month after my laser since I used DHL) from O-like.

Everytime I order from China, I get the same type of batteries and chargers but, this 18650 battery has a different shade of Blue and has nothing written on it. Just some serial numbers.

Even the charger is a little different. There's usually 2 different type of similar chargers that these companies send. This one is similar, but is defiantly different then the normal 2 versions.

Since I use batteries from Lighthound and only use these cheap ones for back up it's no big deal. It is odd that it doesn't show the Brand name or MAH amount (which are usually way off anyway).

Normal cheap Chinese batteries next to odd one.

Anyway, It's just kinda weird.

I'm still waiting for my 100mW 532nm that I bought over 4 months ago... They screwed up on my address and wanted me to pay to reship it. That is until I asked for a full refund and then they supposedly resent it over a month later. It was sent out just over a month ago and still nothing. Its possible it is still on its way but I am not holding up any hopes and I'm definitely not buying from them again. Its Lazerer or laserbtb for me next time around.
