This is "normal" for O-Like? What a joke... Lazerer is much better.

A few days ago I received two orders I placed from O-Like. I am not amused.

One was basically dead on arrival... <5mw the first time I used it. After changing batteries, it stopped working altogether. The other has a bunch of crap being projected with the beam. Apparently this is "normal" for their multimode lasers.

Power Rock waterproof Red laser torch 250mW /Focusable 650nm
200mW 635nm waterproof red laser torch /bright

The 405nm 200mw was from Lazerer. I also purchased a 1.2w 445nm, a 500mw 405nm, and one of the mini 100mw 535 from Lazerer. The 445nm and the 500mw 405nm are flawless. The 200mw 405nm does have some stray light due to something internal moving about, but just turn it to the side and it'll go away.

Sorry for the crappy picture. The 635nm is bright, but that's as close to collaminated as it could get out of the box. I had to adjust the lens myself. The 650nm didn't even put a visible dot on a white wall 20 feet away during the day.

I'm returning these and filing paypal dispute. And I'll be ordering from Lazerer... hey it takes them a long time, but so far their products are at least collaminated and QC'd before they leave the shop.

And no, I'm not affiliated with either O-Like or Lazerer. I'm new here but I've been on Candlepower Forums for ages.

Susie asked for a better picture. The 650nm stopped working completely. The 635nm is shown here after I adjusted the collaminator lens and underexposed to better show all the artifacts or whatever you want to call the garbage coming out with the beam:

Doesn't look like there is anything wrong with the 635. You should be able to focus it just a tad more.

The scatter at the outer edge of the picture is normal. So is the wide dot with wings.

The second "dot" is there because of the waterproofing lens.

Obviously if the 650nm red isn't working get a refund/exchange/whatever. My suggestion would be to settle on 50% credit and re-order (shipping to china tracked will be almost as much as the laser).

A lot of people are shocked when they first see a 635nm multimode laser... I suggest reading up on them a bit more, because unfortunately without some expensive optics, you're just not going to get a nice clean dot.

Lastly, I suggest you forget about o-like and lazerer for future orders, and stick to Jetlasers.

Agreed^ o-like and Lazerer are lasers for the cheap people... not good quality no matter how you go about it. Even laserbtb is better, but JetLasers is a very good option

Actually the third dot was because of the waterproofing lens, which I removed.

I really don't understand why it would be different, yes I'm speaking out of ignorance and observation. Both of my 405nm and my 445nm have very similar multimode patterns without the focusing lens. Two of them are free of internal reflections, the cheapest has something moving inside the led which causes a slight line to pop out if it's held at a certain angle. Not a big deal to me.

I've placed two different orders from Lazerer, and other than the long wait, I'm mostly happy with what I've received. The quality of my 1.2w 445 and my 500mw 405 are exceptional for the price.

O-Like had no response to the dead 650.

No matter... you cannot compare companies like o-like and lazerer to JetLasers, Opto, and LG...

That's the 635 look, I know how you feel. Try the new 635 sold by dtr if you want a 635 with a nice profile.

The 635nm laser beam is more like a big flat sword at a distance.

That´s why I haven´t seen one of these MM 635nm in person yet.

Though your beam-characteristics description would be perferct for a 635nm MM FS thread
