Lasersman is DinoDirect, just acting under a different name. So the quality is still the same.

I recently gave them a try and ordered a 200mW greenie there. The laser I got was just doing 80mW and was shipped in a DinoDirect envelope.

I gave this laser a try.

200mw 532nm Green Focus Handheld Laser Pointer

It even dosn´t use a 200mW module but just a 100mW module that was outputing 80mW.

Well it was dirtcheap so I replaced the module with a better one.

Stuff like that kills me. I dont know what makes a vendor think its OK to lie on specs to make a sale. Especially when a few mW's can make a big $$$$ difference once you get in the higher end power ratings. So you're literally stealing money from your customers when they fronted a lot of extra money to get that little extra mW boost that in reality isn't even there.

Hey guys! I am new here and bought a green laser pointer on Lasersman. I don't know what's wrong with your laser pointers, your words made me worry about my stuff. However when I checked this review http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/review-lasersman-firedragon-iii-300mw-69446.html it makes me feel good now.

You will need way more than just a feeling if you are comparing a FireDragon with all the other lasers they are selling. Except you are a Jedi Knight and can feel exactly how much power they are producing.

I for myself prefer metering my lasers to know the power rather than trying to feel how strong they are, but there is nothing wrong with them, so there must be something wrong with your feeling.

Don´t want to sound rude, but you simply can´t compare their elite Laser with all the rest they also have in stock.

LoL. You really have to read a bit more the forum about DinoDirect and their lasers....

But it has nothing to do with the word elite. I even didn´t know they use it in their description but used it to express the FireDragons are the best lasers they are selling. You can buy a FireDragon also elswhere, not just at Lasersman aka DinoDirect.

Your comparison simply proves one thing. A company who even dosn´t know they are actually selling a more powerful FireDragon cheaper than a less powerful one, can´t be trusted a lot.

I can give you a lot examples where they lied to me and others. And regarding my examples I can also prove them if necessary. They even offered me money to write a positive review about a laser I never recived.

Long time members are aware about this all and also know only the FireDragons they were selling were good lasers and up to specs. But since DinoDirect claimed Lasersman is a totally different company selling now the lasers DD sold previously, I wanted to give them a try by ordering one of the cheapest ones.

Well it turned out to be still DinoDirect, just acting under a different name, like I also was thinking before.

And like said they shipped the laser even in a DinoDirect envelope, where the printed DinoDirect was just covered by a lable with my address.

This was the final prove they were also not telling us the truth by trying to let us think Lasersman and the other site are different companies.

So nothing changed there, just the name of the sites where all their lasers are offered.

Also as I said previosly. The laser I ordered there is sold as a 200mW laser but the one I got was just doing 80mW and this was not just using a underpowered 200mW module, but in real a 100mW module. If you know the difference, you can see it with your nacked eyes by just taking a look at the module.

To make it clear. I still would buy a Firedragon from them, but only in a GroupBuy over this forum. Not directly and no other lasers.

Seems Lasersman is not reputable given these posts.

I saw the site as well a few days ago and thought it looked fishy, but when you do a search, this is the only post that appears to relate to them.

Despite them offering a single decent laser, they should be labled a scam or whatever the proper term is for the forums.

I'm not sure how to escalate the post, but I found this forum by simple searches, and too late in my case after I had made a foolish purchase. Live and learn.

Thanks for posts gents, and spread the word on the trash they are selling !

It´s because the thread where Dino was introducing both sites was deleted as being spam, so all the info there got lost.

The reason DinoDirect had to outsurce their laser section was Paypal forcing them to stop selling high powered lasers.

You can read here a bit about how it started and how they were telling us different stories but not the truth.

http://laserpointerforums.com/f55/1-8w-808nm-dinodirect-172-37-each-66732-2.html#post969627

I can understand their step to sell the lasers under other websites, but not why they were lieing to us.

Amazing...

I agree with your comments regarding Paypal. Paypal is the only way many people do business over the internet, and if they get cut off from that vendor source, I would expect business to suffer a big loss.

Going to take the plunge and get that 200mW greenie, if nothing else, to file a claim.

I am waiting for $160 screw up purchase of a supposed 2000mW 445nm "pointer kit". It was paid for via PayPal as well, will see if I can get a refund, if it arrives.

I have an LPM coming from J.Bauer, and will be interested to see the results.

Thanks for the posts.
