Default Laserbtb.com

HL 405nm 100-500
I want that laser. A 100mw 405nm violet laser. I was wondering if anyone could give me a review on the site or the laser. If the beam is good and see able. That would be nice. Thanks

Laserbtb, AKA Skylasers are good reputable company.

At 100mW 405nm, the beam will be very hard to see.

532nm green makes best most visable beam----a 100mw 405nm will be very hard to see except in fog + most eyes can not focus 405nm very well

If you want something very visable and that will burn well try a low cost 1W
(1000mw) 445nm blue

I was thinking that but for a first time laser user. That could be dangerous. So I am trying to get a 100mw blue or green laser with 405nm i heard you can see them at night and can burn much too is this true.?

Frist off, all lasers are all dangerous if not handled properly and you get hit in the eye with one.

Secondly 405nm is purple and only purple---the color is 405nm, blue is 445nm or 450nm, and green is 532nm. Nanometer is the wavelength/color.

Green 532nm is most visable to the eye

The burning ability of a laser depends on several factors--use the search function of the web site to investigate

Just go with a 100mW green laser to start off with. It will be extremely visible at night, and will be able to pop a balloon, light a match, etc,.

You DO need glasses for burning/indoor use, while you get familiar with the laser. There are several options listed in my signature, including a budget option.

I agree 100mw 532nm green is a good best of both worlds choice--very visable, and some burning ability while you become more familiar with lasers.

Safety is of utmost importance---protective eyewear is a must.

Read and learn as much as you can about lasers and laser safety.

100mw 532nm green can be dangerous and can do eye damage so fast that you have no chance to correct the error.

Soccer, as I said in my PM please do some reading on laser safety. I would hate to hear another horror story. I can build you a 445nm(blue) or a 405nm(violet) laser with a ton of burn power and a spectacular night sky beam but I can tell you now it will not cost the same as the little laserBTB 100mW 532nm(green) but it will completely annihilate it for power (I can cap 2000mW with a 445nm easy). I would have no problems talking further about what I can make and what it would cost if you are still interested.

You also might be less respectful of a 100mw laser...thinking its not that powerful.

for burning and spectacular night beams 445 seems a nice compromise. and a 1 watt or 1.5 watt isn't that expensive in a custom build.

green is more visable but a thinner beam. Get goggles and know your wavelengths. i got the best goggles Survival laser had. for both red and
another for blue/green that also covers IR leakage ( from green lasers)
