Hi all, I am going to buy a laser from CNI. But I am not shure if i yould buy directly from them or at Laserglow/dragonlasers.
I Think about buying an 5mW 589nm or 30mW 473nm.

Whould I save much money buying it directly at CNI?
They are often overspec, aren't they?
How longe does thy ship? What if i will have problems with the laser?
I have read about an horrible cusomer service.

If you want a more reliable company, with guaranteed on-spec if not overspec lasers go with laserglow, possibly dragonlasers. They seem to be pretty reliable as well.
As for buying direct from CNI, the prices are lower but to stay on the safe side I'd recommend waiting for the next group buy so it's easier to return them. I recommend that because that's what I'm probably doing to get myself a 589nm ;)
As for overspec with CNI... hit or miss. In the past it seems like it was constantly overspec, but now... more often than not maybe.

Hope this helps out a bit,
-Zach

P.S. If you get a 589nm before me I will be very jealous.

I have read about an horrible cusomer service.

Never buy directly from them! NEVER! They Sucks! I hate them! Also the waiting Time is 3-4 months Plus 4 months for a replacement. (You'll never get Full Working Laser by the First Shipment ONLY if you're lucky)

LaserGlow And Only LaserGlow! They have the Best Customer Service and Guarantee Quality!

Yeah, in my experience CNI makes some of the very best Chinese lasers, but if you can get 'em from someone else you really should. Dealing with CNI directly can be difficult.. sometimes you get a salesperson who is responsive and gets how to be personable, other times you get one who is only interested in you if you're buying 10 lasers at once. Other times emails go unanswered completely.

Mhm, that's a pity.. I would like to buy in a few months the 5mW version of the glp 589. But at laserglow there are so expensive and at dragonlasers they have only the 3mw pen. Would be great if it would be overspec at about 10mW. Could i expect this of a 5 or 10mW 589nm laser?

edit: i have emailed cni. Thy told me the price for a 5mW ist 420 $ + 80$ shipping o_O.. I think i will get it from dragonlasers. Could i expect 5-7mW? It is rated 3mW.

The 3mW From Dragon Lasers is the >5mW from CNI. So you'll get a ~8mW laser! (Or more!?)
