Stay clear of these people (texaslaser) They did a strange thing with my credit card and Paypal... i did not go through Paypal but yet i got a message from Paypal saying it did go through them... We were a month out on delivery when I contacted them. They were sorry and said they shipped the laser out right away, no tracking number! It's now been over a month no laser and they do not respond!! email or by phone!! Jerks! I buy tons of things online and this is my first bad experience, these people need to be shut down now!! My credit card company will help with this... stay clear of them....

Sounds like he used your credit card number and payed the drop shipper through Paypal.

Please report any issues with the site to Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) | Home

Dont be afraid because you bought a laser, they are more concerned with the sellers.

You got it, that is exactly what they did. They Used Paypal to ship. I'm going to let some Texas consumer group and the (attorney general) know about the using of the good name of Texas to scam people. It's only 65 bucks, but if it was .01 on a scam its too much! Paypal sent some smart ass message like I should use them next time, instead of just running it through my credit card. Paypal used to be better than that! Capitol One will cancel this transaction in a heart beat so why do i need Paypal. I still need this laser for a special project. I will post the outcome Lance

The IC3 is federal. Why would you pay money to some lower offices on a hope they can do something? Do you really think just because they use the word Texas its a crime? The crime is they are an internet business thats using deception to rip people off. This is a federal crime, and has to be directed to the federal government. The more people who complain, the quicker they will take action. You can also turn the website in to the FDA, because they are not supposed to sell non-FDA compliant lasers in the US, regardless if they are dropped shipped or not.

No, using the name Texas is not a crime! It's just really a bad idea, do they still hang people down there? :drohttp://laserpointerforums.com/images/smilies/drool.gifol: Yes, the crime is the non compliant issue. It may not be a crime using my credit card via Paypal and making it look like a Paypal transaction in the drop ship process! They are NOT getting paid for a product not delivered and failure to communicate!
I'm not in the laser business, just a consumer, engineer, scientist. Thanks for letting me post on your forum.. Lance

Guys, I'm anxious that people don't fall into the same trap I did. I ordered a 1w variable focus blue laser from TEXAS LASER SYSTEMS - and let me tell you this company is a scam. No contact, no response to [several] more and more irate emails - they don't answer the phone and all you get is recorded messages. I ordered a month ago and they choose to ignore all contact.

Please warn anyone you know not to do business with these people - I feel such an idiot, but at least I might be able to stop others making the same mistake. I have to go through the 'ball-ache' of getting my money back through the credit card company - but at least I am able to do that.

I even sent a complaint via email to the Fort Worth PD - but guess what ? ........ I got no response.

regards from the UK,

It has been exactly 20 days, (not quite the seven promised) and still, no laser, no response. I have called too many times to count. too many emails to count. I guess Will report them if it doesn't show up this week. This place needs to go.

This address is only 3 miles from my place ... I will go there tomorrow and see if its a legit location:

4460 Western Center Blvd. #130
Fort Worth, TX 76137

EDIT: This is a shopping strip that I visit often as it has a few restaurants I go to often ... THERE IS NO TEXAS LASER SYSTEMS THERE!

When I called or emailed I did not reach anyone or recieve any replies. I contacted my credit card company and hed them cancell the order. Texas Lasers looks like a scam!

I ordered a cool blue laser 1000mw and it arrived in 6 days to the uk but from China not Texas. The website says it has a safety switch which it hasn't and that it uses 18650 2500mah batteries which it doesn't either. It came with a small 880mah lc 16340 type.On the side of the laser it says >300mw which i'd be extremely surprised if it meant 1000mw.I've emailed them and no reply.
Wish i'd seen this thread earlier.

Update: the guy hasn't the decency to reply to my emails; not surprisingly he was extremely efficient at replying when i ordered hmmm...
Anyhow i've lodged the complaint with the bank and as there is no return address since it came from China and if i send it to Texas i'll lose the laser for sure AND the money so i'm not sending it back.I'll see what happens.

I waited over 10 days, I emailed and called and got no responce whatsoever. so I called the creditcard company and told to stop the charge, which they did. I oerdered on Oct 27th. I just got the laser in and am charging the batteries up. Well so much for 7 day deliverie. I did not get the goggles and stand I oredered, maybe in a week or 3. The laser came from China, so so much for the great state of Texas tie in. Will update as soon as get some use time in.

I have somewhat mixed feelings about Texas Lasers. I placed an order with Texas Lasers for their 1000mw Blue Laser and it did arrive in a somewhat timely matter (straight from Hong Kong). I would say about 4-5 business days late of the date promised. The Blue laser itself is very nice and works exactly as promised so no complaints there. My real complaints is the customer service which seems to be practically nonexistent. They have never called me back when I left a messages and only emailed me back after two or three attempts. They have yet to credit my Paypal account for the 30% discount I was supposed to get for the lasers late delivery date and they never sent the batteries I order for the laser. Even if they had sent me the batteries it wouldn't have matter because they have the wrong ones listed for the laser on their web page.
