Hi there,
I'm assembling a spectroscopy system and find myself in need of a high-power dual-line (325 and 442 nm) helium-cadmium laser. Unfortunately, CVI - Melles Griot has informed me that they're getting out of the HeCd laser business as of December 31, 2012.
In poking around online, I haven't yet been able to find an alternate vendor (it looks like Liconix has been gone for a while now). Any suggestions besides buying a non-functional system on Ebay and hoping I can repair it? I'm at a university, and they...strongly discourage...spending research money through Ebay.
Thanks in advance!
