If you were in my shoes, what would you do? :-?

I saw that last night I was watching a part and it disappeared.

Did they give a reason?

What made your laser parts any different?

I would appeal if possible!!!

If you go elsewhere let us know where

malicious bidding.. now that's a new one.  what is that, exactly and how is it different from other types of bidding? You'd think the sellers would be happy with more bids.

You're not alone - they've really been cracking down lately. I had a few auctions recently shut down for lasers (there's a thread I started about it somewhere here) but this week was worse, I listed a couple of hosts, no diodes, drivers, etc and they pulled one of the two auctions!

I'd try and figure out what auction caused it, then carefully review their rules.. Assuming you broke no rules with your auction (from my recollection you only ever sold components and never completed non-fda cert lasers, correct me if I'm wrong), I'd then call up their customer service number, wait on hold for half an hour, then calmly and rationally explain what happened and why you didn't deserve to have you account canceled (since you broke no ebay rules)... When the customer service rep isn't able to help you, I'd politely thank them and ask to speak to their manager. Explain to the manager calmly and reasonably why you think your account got canceled, and why you feel it shouldn't have been. Explain the rules, explain why you weren't breaking them. When the manager can't help you, ask to speak to their manager. They probably won't have one handy though they'll ask for your phone number and tell you a manager will call you within 24 business hours. If the senior manager calls you back explain what happened and your account will be reinstated. If the manager doesn't call you back, phone customer service and immediately (and politely) ask if you can talk to their manager.. Explain that you've been given bad service and that your complaint was not resolved in a reasonable amount of time.. Explain that you've done nothing wrong and that no one was willing to help you. At that point the junior level manager should be able to reinstate your account.

Good luck. I worked customer service over the phone for two years and I know how difficult it can be to get help, though it's absolutely not impossible, you *can* get results from these people, you just have to jump through some hoops.

Chris, this is unbelievable. I've seen your auctions before and I know that you are a professional eBayer with a ton of experience. I really hope things work out... Some of the stuff you sell is just absolutely amazing.

^well, let me see if I can help. On the one hand you've got the post coherent placed above, with a link to a forum post from some nobody who for all we know could have been trying to scam Chris(Heru.). On the other hand we've got Chris who we all know and who has a proven track record both here and elsewhere.

There's no question as far as I'm concerned. I'm with Chris all the way.

Oh, I see what malicious bidding is... it's bidding with the intention of not paying, then leaving the seller negative feedback to hurt their record.

Very strange that ebay allows nonpaying bidders to leave negative feedback!

There are two sides to every story. This guy said the items were never received despite being able to prove they were delivered, he then threatened me with negative feedback if i did not send him another item and refund his money also, and stated he has "big man's people" backing him. I refunded his money, with paypal since 100.00 isn't wort a negative feedback with ebay's currnt rules.

He wouldn't let it go, he even accused me of sending it to my friends on my feedback profile at which point I put him on my wall of shame for harassment, libel, and blackmail. At this point he got very ugly saying he was untouchable and has friends that will back him. See his last post in alt.lasers to see what kind of guy this person is.
