Just ordered a 1w spartan from DL. . New to the forum and was looking for other reputable dealers that ship to the us . any comments on DL past experiences would be great too. Thanks. Loving the forum so far. Very helpful group of enthusiasts

check the yellow link in my signature for trusted companies and sellers. Also has a TON of useful info for new members....Welcome and remember, when in doubt; search first, post a question second :beer:

EDIT: there are a few members, including myself, who are able to build you custom lasers and normally for very competitive prices to those of companies and many times a lot cheaper!!!!

I got my dragon laser 1w about a week ago now and its good but i find the beam can't be focused and that let it down alot for me. I'm looking at purchasing a 2.5-3.1w 445 from someone on the forums but since I'm from Australia its a massive risk.

yeah i could do that quite easily. i actually have everything i need minus the diode. was going to order one soon and build it but ill PM you to make sure what I have for a host is alright with you

I dont build DPSS lasers, that would be green. Most builders here only do diode lasers since DPSS is done way cheaper through mass production and china!

Also you cant tell the output of a laser based on parts until its finished and LPM'd. I LPM every laser prior to selling and would send you the graph before asking for payment to make sure you like what you are getting.

I believe Blord may build 532nm lasers but not sure. LaserBtb is where i get mine from

You said you need to order the 445 diode. What's the time frame on the complete laser. And can you ballpark some prices. Because on my side I'm ready to pull the trigger on this deal.

A spartan is a great single watt laser for what it is.. a tough rugged host. simple in design.. I had one for two years before I traded it. Too bad Dragon lasers doesn't aspire to improve its products to keep up with the customer's trends. I waited two years for them to come out with the collimator before giving up on them.

Get the rechargeable batteries for it though

my other gripe with them is the Spartan doesn't come with goggles,batteries or charger.

here on this forum you get more beam for the buck!!

I've just learned that first hand. Just paid for a 1.5w 445 from a member. Finding it very beneficial to look here first. Also have another build in the works with another member.
