Check out rayfoss. They've got lasers that are pretty cheap as well, 50mw for 45 and then 5 bucks shipping. Plus To me atleast, their quality seems better than DD. Plus they have waterproof lasers.

I've just ordered a couple of violet lasers, and so far the experience has been really smooth; faultless to be honest. All the usual confirmations by email at each step, and an efficient payment process. Oh, this was all after a prompt reply to a couple of pre-purchase questions I emailed them yesterday.

I even got a phone call a few minutes after placing the order from a really friendly, polite guy to confirm my shipping address as it was different from my billing one. I was grateful for this as it ensured that such issues don't affect the despatch time.

I'll get back with more when they arrive, and I get a chance to review them properly.

Marks out of ten for the ordering process?

Dino Direct are thieves and liars.
They advertised a certain item, charged me double for it, then sent me a different model with the wrong power connection. Then they argued for over 4 weeks about a refund, and refunded me $90.00 of the (fraudulent) $180.00 they charged me.
The quality of their products is Chinese garbage rubbish.
Dont even bother with Dino DOGS. They are DOGS. Read the reviews on other pages when you Google dino direct scams.
I hate Dino Direct. They are thieves and they steal your money. They should be shut down and locked out of our country.

And who are you? Or in other words, which company do you represent?

Just thought it'd be worth mentioning this.

I was watching Dino Direct's 1W 445 handheld (see below) since their 50% offer announcement.

1000mW 447nm Waterproof Adjust Focus Blue Laser Pointer Pen (1 x 18650 Battery), Britain - DinoDirect.com

I didn't take screen-shots, but I'm pretty sure I recall it was priced fairly reasonably before the 50% offer, somewhere around the same price as a DL Spartan 1W (~$240).

Looking at the pre-discount price now, it appears to have magically jumped to $330 before the discount.

This is a clumsy, and cynical tactic of trying to dupe buyers by suggesting huge savings and lying about the pre-discount price, therefore selling at a much lower discount than is actually stated.

I know "lying" is a strong word, but in this case I think it's justified bearing in mind the timing of the price adjustment.

Sure prices of anything are dependent on the market at the time, and therfore subject to vary, but to coincidentally adjust the price immediately before a 50% "discount" promotion is out of order.

Based on the numbers I noticed, the real discount (taking into consideration the price-hike at the launch of the promotion) is only around 30%, which is no different from their previous general offers made via coupon codes etc...

Now, I have ordered 3 lasers from them in the past, in a single order, and am satisfied with what I got. Although their shipping times were off by over 2 weeks.

Given this apparent stunt, I can't see me buying from them again unless I'm absolutely certain that I really am getting a deal as described by them.

At the end of the day though, can I be bothered to have to analyse to such a degree just in order to ensure I'm not being played?

I don't think so.

Shame really, as I'd previously rated them quite highly compared to other similar e-tailers.

yeah the 50% was a sham. I notice the "original" price was much higher on all the items than they were actually price the day before.

That being said, i did notice there actually were some great discounts on some items.

I like the Name of this Compagny.- DINO DIRECT sounds like a shop for Baby Stuff.
I would never expect to get serious Lasers from them. Maybe a Barbie-Laser for Ken.

DINO DIRECT ARE CROOKS: DON'T LET THEM SCAM YOU!!!

This is already turning out to be the WORST shopping experience I have ever had!!!
I have PAID FOR MY ORDER IN FULL VIA PAYPAL but when I log into my account on the Dino Direct website, it is marked as “unpaid” & when I tried to email them on their forums, one of their arrogant staff finally replied after I had posted & directly emailed them about a dozen emails!!!…
My order # is: 542372-DD & finally after a ridiculously long wait this arrogant staff member told me that I had not paid because I had not clicked on their “security checkout” even though I did & I emailed them back a copy of the entire email PayPal sent me including my transaction ID #:6199416246681123P
but they still have not got back to me & my order is still showing up as “order unpaid” despite my numerous emails to them throughout the entire day which have remained unanswered!!! -I feel that I may have no choice but to open up a PayPal dispute & that will be proof to them that I PAID IN FULL despite their arrogant staff telling me that I haven’t when in fact I HAVE & WILL PROVE IT BY FILING A DISPUTE ON THEM IF NEED BE!!!…
Please DO NOT believe any positive posts as their employees often pose as consumers (often quite obvious that they are doing this) on their forums as well as other websites reviewing them like this one & I will NEVER place another order with them ever again!!!…
Also, in the beginning it was possible to speak to someone directly via a live chat option on their website but now it is not an available option & I would say that “it would be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle” than to communicate or deal with these crooks!!!:(
Worst of all they promote special sale event periods to lure unsuspecting consumers into ordering when they clearly show no intention of fulfilling these orders & they will even scam you on one of these sale events at Christmas time while leaving you with no hope of your goods arriving on time or of seeing your money without filing a long PayPal dispute!:( BUYER BEWARE OR ELSE YOU WILL CERTAINLY REGRET IT!!!

I have gotten a 100mW open back green laser, a 50mW mid-open red laser, a 200mW open back green laser, and have just ordered the 1000mW blue laser. Both green lasers are great. The 200mW will burn anything that is black and will light matches, the build quality is also great. I actually highly recommend it.... The 100mW is pretty nice, the build is good and you can see the beam indoors in a lit room fairly well. The 50mW sucks, never get a mid-open laser from them. And I have yet to receive the 1000mW, but for $116 i thought I'd give it a try. I'll post back laser once I get it.

200mW green - 200mW 532nm Open-back Green Laser Pointer Pen(2 x AAA Included) - DinoDirect.com

100mW green - 100mW 532nm Open-back Kaleidoscopic Green Laser Pointer Pen (2×AAA Included) - DinoDirect.com

1000mW blue - 1000mW 447nm Waterproof Adjust Focus Blue Laser Pointer Pen (1 x 18650 Battery) - DinoDirect.com

50mW red - 50mw 650nm High Power Mid-open Red Laser Pointer Pen(2 x AAA included) - DinoDirect.com

Their customer service was great a few month ago when they had "Live Support." But now customer service has been pretty crappy. I dunno if it is because of the holidays or what.

I had bought one of their 1000 mw blue lasers and it showed up in a reasonably short space of time with tracking info. The unit has proven to be an adequate burning laser but I'd need a power meter to know the precise milliwattage.

I bought one of their lasers about a month ago. I wanted it for the housing. After many days, it was released to USPS on 12/9. It is gone and Dino's web pages are a whirlpool of endless pages and no answers. I know there was a big holiday but now --- Where is it?

I've got an order of 10 greenies that I ordered the end of November, shipped out 12 days later, and have been sitting in LA customs since the 19th of December.

.....losing hope more and more as the days roll on.
I'm pretty sure that they all have warning stickers on them stating powers greater than 5mW.

Anyone out there in the united states that ordered lasers around thanksgiving receive anything yet?
