to be honest they're all pretty good for the price, but if i were to choose id have the first one. its got the kaleidoscope effects (star pointer) and if you screw the top cap off (it screws on and off) you get a regular pointer. i hope ive made you're decision a bit easier.

yea I thought about that, but I honestly dont need that. Im thinking to get the second one. I like the two tone color.

I also would go with the first one. The star effect is awesome.
This effect seems to impress people more then just the dot. (which you can still have)
My second choice would be #2, I like the two-tone look also.
If you really see no use for the star cap, then #2, but for the extra $12 the star cap is a nice option to have available.
Good luck and remember, with this power 532nm, saftey glassses are a must have for indoor use. If you only plan on using it outside, (highly unlikely), you won't need the glasses. But go ahead and buy a pair, they are only $7.99 on focalprice.com. You will fry your eyes if you use it inside without them.
