I bought one of the Green 532Nm 125mW lasers a few days ago and it arrived today.

Im not big cheese when it comes to lasers, but this unit arrived with goop on the end from stickers being put on and peeled off again. The laser blinks for a moment or two when in use and gets a bright spot with tons of scatter then the bright spot switches down again. This is random. The green I was told is not true green and the power rating appears to be wrong from an associate who tested it for me. Hes fairly certain the mW rating is from the IR spectrum not the true green spectrum, but looking into the laser with the power OFF the lens is purple in hue. I was told this means it may be a red laser with a filter on it, but Im no expert on that.

I can say that I am disappointed, as it wont burn black tape, burst balloons or start matches. It wont even let you feel it on your fingers or skin. The scatter does make your eyes hurt if you dont have goggles on.

I'd like it to be replaced or a simple refund and go elsewhere. I dont feel this was worth it... IMHO

Just to let you know i sent them a email telling them there was interest from this site and would they be interested in letting one of the moderators or a more experienced member do a review on one of there 300mw green lasers,i told them that i thought it would be a great opportunity, not only for laser sales but for there reputation but i have not yet had a return email, maybe there cheching out the site ?
To help i have a true 130mW green from scitec in the UK i've found them to be a very good company, they are expensive but how many good companys are there in the U.K it cost, i think £370 yes i know, sounds very expensive but don't forget anything over 1mW in the UK is illegal for general use.

So you have to explain yourself

As it was my first green laser i was very rough with it, dropping it a few times knocking it about not realizing how delicate a green laser can be, it finally broke, so i sent it back for repair (this was about half a year later from when i bought it) they sent it back to the manufacturer, it took a month and a bit and they confirmed a broken crystal, so in the end Scitec said they would give me a replacement laser because it took so long to sort it out, i did write them a very persuasive, polite letter telling them how great they were within 10 days i had a brand new laser

I think a lasers burning capability is not just the power out-put but power + beam size ie the abillity to focus.

So you need high power and a lense that can focus the light. I think this is right but not 100% sure.

Hope you get your money back. Thats for the info.
