Beamshot? J/k sorry about the dud. Crossing my fingers.

Haha naughty :)

It looks promising, charge the batts, check the polarity ect all the usual stuff...

Ps the batts havent got cellophane wrappers on have they?

I know a *cough* freind who got caught out by that one once

I checked the batts...they are both reading 3.05V consistently. I took off the end cap and ran a wire from the end of the battery to the host and the laser came on. So the clicky switch must be faulty. I took appart the cap but really dont know how to fix the switch or even work with it.

nice!, you got the laser and it is working! Does it have a pot on the driver? Have you submerged it in water?

Multiple Postings

I just put my spare switch in and it still will not turn on. :banghead:

After a little tinkering I finally got it to work but with two brand new cr123a batts in it, it is horribly underpowered. Hopefully I am still doing something wrong but if not Im going to try and send it back.

Brand new batteries are generally not charged. You may want to throw them on the charger for a couple hours if you have not already.

Maybe that is my problem? I am not using rechargables. Just standard Duracell Ultra's. Both read 3.05V on a multimeter.

hi,

I have read somewhere that you need 2 battery minimum 3.7V.
So with 2 x 3.05V you lost 1.3V.
perhaps it is the problem !

According to one of the seller's previous posts here, primary batteries won't work. You need 3.6v rechargable lithiums.

That IS the problem. The driver is not getting enough voltage. The seller said specifically earlier in this thread that primaries will not work.

Your batteries fully charged should be reading 4.2 Volts...
You need CR123A Rechargeable batteries... that is why you got a charger with the
Laser...

I just got home and my laser was here waiting, I unpacked it everything looks good, I just don't have any batteries. I went all over town and no one has any CR123A rechargeables. I am going to order some right now!
