As far as I know, there are green diodes, but they are really rare, and expensive aswell as low powered, there are no yellow diodes or blue diodes as far as I know .

Blue diodes are a reality :D 440nm(if you want to call it blue) as well as 473nm.

Have threre been laser diodes produced in all of the common colors? At least in testing?

They're still under development. There's definitely a market for anyone that can come up with a direct injection green - for compact projectors, pointers, etc. Direct injection diodes are small and very efficient at converting electrons to light.

For example, Sony worked on green diodes for years. They were going to be used in the next generation of DVDs, but they had problems with very short device lifetimes, and were trumped by Nakamura's development of violet laser diodes. See this Sony press release, over 10 years old now. That's one diode sandwich from hell:

Recently ROHM's announced they are actively working on green diodes - not DPSS, but direct injection diodes:

At this point we have violet (now becoming affordable), blue (very expensive) and red (dirt cheap) laser diodes. There are still no 'direct injection' laser diodes in the heart of the visual spectrum.
