Great news:
1. They take PayPal
2. They sent actual specsheets
3. We're ready to pull the trigger pending I figure out who to send it to.

Not as great of news:
1. My computer just broke so responding will be a bit more difficult...

I have to be honest with you, i don't forsee them doing that, but I'll go ahead and ask anyway.
I will also go ahead and order it, with paypal and then send it off to paul to be spectro'd.

Looks like I might get this one to spectro. I'll post my findings when I get it. :yh:

A shame these aren't in steady enough supply to try pushing the hell out of it. Not yet at least...

IDK, Zach. I think this one is going for ~$280. It will be an amazing deal if it turns out to be the real thing. Won't know that until i get a chance to measure it, though.

I don't think so. If you are interested, you might want to get in touch with Joey about where to get another one.

Guess all I can do is give it a shot. Even if these turn out to be $500/pc for normal orders, it'd be a much more appealing price...

Hopefully this isn't just an overpriced 450 diode like the batch dtr got.. we were all pretty hopeful there too. But who knows. 1w 520 diodes were crazy exspensive. I remember posting the eblay link on my fb feed stating how one day I'll have this $700+ diode. Didn't think ide get one 5 months later for 1/4 of the price. Was the seller info posted? I semi skimmed..

Seller info wasn't. I PM'ed the OP about it and I'll see what kind of negotiating I can get going if he sends me the company contact info. Not sure if they'll feel the same way my source for the 480nm diodes felt when those popped up; they had asked me not to share...

The seller info is this:
Dongguan Industry Co., Ltd.
In other words, 404 not found...

I think it was an alibaba store that ended up continuing to email me despite me not responding to them.
They send lots of emails like this:

We highly and strongly recommend attached laser diodes with noticeably competitive cost for your choosing:
1). NUBM05 455nm 3.75w tin pin: uinit price: 21 USD, 200 pcs. ( 8 pcs per laser bank )
2). Sharp GH0637AA2G 638nm 700mw 5.6mm, unit pirce: 13 USD, 300 pcs.
3). Mitsubishi ML562G85 638nm 2.5w 9mm: unit price: 99 USD, 100 pcs.

Laser Module:
1). 450nm 100mw: 32 USD/set (Blue)
2). 638nm 100mw: 33 USD/set (Orange)
3). 520nm 30mw+ 638nm 70mw: 65 USD/set (Yellow 100mw)
4). 520nm 100mw: 69 USD/set(Green)
5). 532nm 300mw: 69 USD/set(Green)

-Always wishing well Dora

As for the MOQ, they said i can order a minimum of 1 but I could really order as many as I wanted I guess. I originally tried to get her to 5 on another type of diode and she said that was fine so I just tried 1 this time and she still said it was fine.

FYI it was a dongguan blueniverse that had the 505nm diodes for $13/pc. Might be the same company... looking into that...

Also, I did end up sending the payment to them and I'm just waiting for a reply again. Upon receiving, I'm sending it to Paul to Spectro, then I'm not sure quite what to do with it after that lol...

If anyone's interested this is the spec sheet I got in the email that followed the one that was supposed to have it...

Same for mine. I don't know what driver is 'safe' to run these diodes at. Right now, I want to avoid making a 3-cell host, and I also want to avoid feeding it the 275mA that the nano will happily provide it if it's absolute factory maximum rating says 150mA. It'll probably handle it just fine if it runs like the other osram blue diodes... but that is not a risk I want to make on a stupidly expensive diode.

E: another member said his flexdrive worked... but I don't know how I feel about it since that driver is 1.5V under what the spec sheet says this diode needs.
