Ok i have been doing a lot of searching and read through threads such as.

pink laser 500mw

and a few others. They seem to have been posted back in 2010. Anyway my girlfriend wants to get into laser pointers and as you may imagine she wants a pink one. And i would love to see that myself.

Now the one pictured here is almost the perfect colour i am trying to achieve

I want to know if anyone is currently close to getting anything near this colour or if someone can point me in the right direction for a handheld? I dont care if its 50mw (actually i probably think that would be enough)

I was considering of doing a combination of blue and red in a single host but unsure how well it would work etc.

Sorry if this pisses anyone off but it seems this hasn't come up on the web for a while.

Here's a more recent thread showing a combination of diodes to achieve a "pink" color.

Ok I didnt actually make a Pink laser, but a yellow one. The principle would however be the same, though using a purple and red. ;) If you try a similar host with diodes parallel to one another, use a FS mirror and a perhaps the cube from a PHR sled or better yet a dichro pass red/green reflect blue. Here is a link to the ones I bought. They actually come in a pair and you would need the BDM dichro.

Anyway here is the link to my thread:beer:

Thank you so much guys! Its what i was hoping to see. One other question i have. If i was to use lets a 1w blue and a 1w red with these mirrors. Would it equal 2w?

Yes, minus some losses in the combining optics

Dont forget the 1 W diodes are multimode so the divergence and beam profiles will be an issue. If you want to build this 2 lower powered single modes would be better.

One last thing; aligning the beams is a real PITA and trying to align 1 W beams without goggles is a serious risk...dont forget your goggles will cover either blue, or red and wearing both works, but only in so far as stopping you from actually seeing anything. ;) Yes you can align one after the other, but that doesnt really work as ultimately both need aligning together so youll have to correct everything afterwards...Well that has been my experience anyway.

Thanks guys. So a red and blue ebay pen would be the way to go id say. Not really needing it to burn or anything just mainly after a pretty pink beam lol
