A quick update on my PGL-3C-473 50mw.

This was bought on a GB in the middle of last year. Was putting out 120mw on arrival from Glenn but had to go back to CNI (via Glenn) as there was a contact fault. They repaired it and back it came a few weeks later.

But after it arrived back, the end cap disintegrated (!). Back it went.

They replaced the cap. Back it came (third time).

DOA. LED came on but no beam. Sent it back again!!

This time CNI replaced the unit with a new one (different serial number) which arrived last week.

Works perfectly (so far!) and is putting out a peak of 100mw.

It's taken a year but all's well that ends well.

Credit to Glenn for helping me sort things out with CNI initially. Thereafter all dealings were direct with Ava. Pretty smooth and they paid for shipment via Fedex the last two times. So well done to them.

It's taken a year, but at the end of the day I have what I wanted and I have to credit CNI (and Glenn) with excellent customer service.

It seems that CNI will eventually make things right, if the item is still in warranty, even if they do so slowly and are hard to communicate with.

So, basically, they do hold up their part of the bargain, ...

I really have to wonder though, couldn't CNI just send out a new tailcap in a situation like that? CNI doesn't seem to like to sell parts at all.

Congrats, Arynthia. I could see that you were getting quite disheartened with this whole ordeal. I'm glad that CNI pulled through, both for you and for CNI.
