What are you all willing to pay for an 80 mw-100 mw 589nm big host laser..I found a supplier. these aren't cheap but I want to know what people are willing to pay. I would like to order a few if I could get a few interested in them.. the hosts are kind of plain flashlight style but the beams are nice. If there is interest, I will post more details and pursue this further. the beams produce a powerful golden/orange light. here is the link for the product: http://www.laserpenshop.com/Yellow-Lasers/lgr155b.html. yes that is quite a bit pricy. I get the bulk rate which is 12% less . I can negotiate a little depending on how much interest I get. Bloom is right about the power.. it is 80mw plus even though it lists for 100 mw. I don't really think they can sell at that price listed.

How much cheaper are these? do you have an approximate price (plus or minus $50 or so)? Are you able to verify quality?

Truss... just so you're aware, you will be hated here if you try to profit from a group buy. Just be honest and tell us what the supplier told you and see if people are willing to pay that. If someone finds out you are charging as much as you can to make money....

The above statement is a fact.

Not only do they drive you mad, but you also put more money in, than you get out. I actually paid out of a pocket for my last two GB's.

Partially why I dipped out of the other halfway, and I was tired of running them as well.

Cheapest I have ever seen a 80mW 589nm go, was ~$580, and that was before the total cost of shipping and all that. I paid $680 for my 80mW rated, 126mW peak.

These will be 80mW max (rated) in handheld form. On top of that, labbies with be 4-10x the cost of handheld, so not worth it to get more power.

Yea. No one wants to PM you to find out the price. throw a price down in the original post, or no one will be interested-and i mean the ACTUAL price per unit, not what you want us to pay you. Also, i am assuming your "source" is CNI, in which case, there are group buys from them (seemingly) often. Actually...the source would have to CNI, they are the only company in the world that makes 589 handhelds...

Like Wolfman said, if you are trying to make a buck off of this, good frickin' luck...will end up to you being neg rep'd to kingdom come.

Efficiency.

Also I may have an idea of what company you're talking about. If it's BOB count me out, just saying.

Thing is, I don't know if it's the the place he's talking about or not.

Albeit, I'll share.

Every now and again BOB has some very nice looking prices, however in terms of quality, I've never heard of any positive experience. Not one.

At one point they supposedly used PGL-III-C hosts, but now that I look it up months later I find no references to anything remotely close to those.

They probably use other, rather ugly looking hosts like a lot of their other products.

Everyone. I posted new info in the first post. Again this is just a feeler to see if anyone is interested in the yellow lasers I am now asking for any money. I just want to see if this was worth the trouble. the lasers I received from them I'm quite satisfied with and still enjoy . Since I haven't tested any of these myself I would be taking quite a chance.. they are from a new supplier according from my girlfriend Hero at Laserpenshop.
