Well with that logic you can add 577's, 501's, 457's, 430's, 604's, 607's, 618's... the list goes on.

Easier to just say everything else is >$1000 :p

Nah, for $200 you could get one that does almost 1w. The harder you overdrive the diode though, the more it shifts wavelengths towards 650.

Not so sure about lazerer.com though. They've had a good amount of less-than-pleased customers in the last few months. The b/s/t section is usually your best bet.

Two of the three lasers I bought from lazerer died. The third is faulty.

I think I can get a 1W 635 for <$150 in a custom host and all. They're not too expensive.
