I hope someone could be of some help. I just purchased this laser online (used).
It has come with these expansion lenses and I wanted to know what the are used for on the laser. They are threaded and screw on the end of the laser.
My second question is, the lens on the laser at the moment has a rectangular beam, and I can not make anything smoke like my other lasers.
Is this the standard lense these come out with.
Thanks again for your help.
P.S Purchased some kits from both Jayrob & Survival lasers and they are both exceptional quality.

I've got one, and it certainly should make stuff smoke. I'm sure you already know how to work the smartswitch, but did you change it from low power strobe to high power continuous beam before you tried to burn things? If its the standard lens, it should say 100% on that sticker. Those other two lenses dont look like they're made for the arctic, but I could be wrong on that because I don't know what the arctic lenses look like besides the standard one (I also got mine used :p)

Also its supposed to have a rectangular beam.

The expansion lenses should expand the beam and reduce divergence over great distances.
They look like they have been coated for anti-reflection at blue wavelengths.

The idea is that the larger the beam is, the lower the divergence can be. So if the expanders are well made they should extend your laser's visible range.

The expansion lenses look home made. As for th lens on the laser it does say 100%. I still can not smoke anything on high power. Also the beam looks rectangular, in opposed to a dot.

This will always be the case for high-powered direct-diode lasers.
