Thanks man :) I appreciate it. Surprisingly I didn't even have to mess with the white balance or anything. I guess my camera just likes blue :p

I've gone through like 5 cameras now, none pick up the color exactly as I see it... though I am getting close.

My diode is at least a color that I cannot duplicate exactly... It's just a really rich blue. And it's kinda different from 473nm, but not quite...

I used to be into photography a lot, back in the film days. Mainly B&W. My Ex was a Photography Instructor. I just recently got back into it.
Your comment about WB reminded me my camera has a custom function setting for storing different settings.
I bet if I set one up just for beam shots it would help me.

but arent they different mAh? one is 1200 another 800 or you have a pair of each?

very nice build, how did you make that momentary switch, was it the magic of god of hosts Ehgemus or did you just ask him to leave a hole and you did it yourself?

The switch was purchased from eBay, but Ehgemus did install it when he made the host. That guy is a wizard and is working on something even cooler for me right now.

:drool::drool::drool::worthy: I should get his skype or something, I dont know what can be cooler than that, that is so small, so simple, so perfect, nothing extra, id probably get him to add ribs for better heat sink, but that would ruin how smooth and perfect it is

Actually ribs would look nice. Would remind me of a shark's gills on this sleek beast. This is my most elegant design ever but soon, I will have a host that was designed by one much greater than myself. Something extra awesome.

:worthy: i cant wait to see it! so you guys share designs? nothing is "copyrighted" id love to have one like you have, i just searched the momentary switch couldnt find it, found bunch of them but they are all too long, and the short ones are without LED's, did you have to modify the switch too?

I agree. I just put DTR on my Christmas card list. :crackup:
I can't believe I got one, didn't blow it up and it's beautiful !
I hope some more different wavelengths in my price range become available. :)
