They call it orange despite the fact that it has the exact same wavelength as the laserglow vega series.
It looks decent and I might get it if the price drops a bit more. How visible would this be? I am assuming it would be slightly less visible than a 5mw green. Would I be better off just getting a vega 5mw which would actually be around $100 cheaper if I use the discount code?

The best way to get 'yellow' is to mix red and green. 593.5nm is really a burnt orange colour. Dragonlasers are good, so are laserglow. Personally I'd go with the laserglow. Oranges are about 70% as bright as a green. (where a red is like 10%)

So does everyone agree now that the DL 5mw 594 is actually 5mw? Last time there was a thread about this, everyone said it had to be an overpriced 2mw because "CNI doesn't sell 5mw pens".

From what I hear, the power output is much more variable in these 594 nm lasers. The LED Museum guy reviewed one that had several months of power changes, in his case it mostly was up, but all the more reason to buy from a company that will stand behind the product! I would not want to buy from a poor service company, then have my yellow drop a lot in output! ATB! -Glenn
