Hey Guys,

Can you please tell me what else I need to make a laser work. Here is what I've got so far at my house. What else do I need. I'm aiming for a 1,000mW Blue Laser that can burn, shine really far and can be really sexy.

HighTechDealZ - 445nm 1W (1000mW) Blue Brand New Laser Diode in Aixiz Module - $59.00.
1W 445nm blue laser diode driver / 405nm laser driver | eBay - $12.00

Total - $71.00.

What else do I need?

A lot! I can sell you what ever you need to build your 1W C6 laser for $35. (Includes: Host, Heatsink, Driver, Lens, module Pre assembled)
You need only a 445nm Diode.

What does a microboost do?

Also, What one do I buy on here? Would this 445nm M140 Diode Bare Diodes $45 get me 1W?

Why don't you buy a fully working laser for $99 here, http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/fs-99-445nm-1watt-c6s-77334.html

When you received the laser then take it completely apart and cut the wires. If the pieces are on the table then begins to assemble it. Solder the wires back and voila you just build your first laser.

A lot of your questions should be answered by reading through the forum a little more. As for a diode that won't break or die... that'll depend a lot on how you heatsink it, and if you keep the current limited to a reasonable level. Both of those subjects you should read more of the board to learn about.
