WTB: TI-84

I've currently got a TI-89 that I need to replace with a TI-84. Since I've no idea how to use my TI-89 and the instructor in my class provides instructions for use of a TI-84, I'm looking to downgrade. (why can't they make the operation the same on all calculators of this style is beyond me)

What I'm hoping is that I can either trade for this particular calculator (TI-89) or some lasers (teenie burner)

Uhh no offense but considering I have the TI-89 that's not going to do me much good.  Not to mention, with my classload, I've not got the time to take off and "Learn" how to use another device, while with the TI-84 my instructor, during a class I've got to be at, provides me with the instructions.

Day, I think the TI-83 and TI-84 are close enough in operation aren't they?

Its the same thing more or less. I really haven't noticed any differences except the 84's are bulkier for some reason.

The ti 83 and the ti 84 are the EXACT same except for the appearance and the amount of archive memory, 84 has bout 3x the memory

makes sense, the 84 is twice as thick, do programs made for the 84 work on the 83?

dang, too late. a couple months ago i traded my ti84 for a ti89 :-/

If you could learn to use the 89, it is LIGHTYEARS ahead of 83s and 84s as far as capabilities. This doesn't matter as much for lower level classes, but the higher you go in math, the more it'll help you. And it will help for all levels. I used an 83+ for everything through "pre-cal" and then switched to the 89 for calculus (all the way through multivariable/cal3, some discrete math, and differential equations/partial differential equations). I VERY quickly wished I had had the 89 for every level of math I had taken. The equation solver is just so useful, the "pretty print" makes reading the math so much easier, along with all the graphing functions and the ability to do calculus, it's just a step above.

If you don't mind me asking, what level of math are you taking?
