Hi guys,

I'm not sure if there are any group buys still active on these, but i'm looking to buy a couple of LOC or LCC diodes or sleds (doest matter)... anyone selling at the moment at good prices?

I need to have them shipped to holland - shouldn't be much of a problem/cost though.

Hey Ben,

I'm in the UK and can help you out. Probably quicker shipping. How many you need? (Check my sig for a price. Shipping abroad may be a little more but to Holland... Next to nothing)

I've got LOCs easily to hand but can extract some LCC if that's what you'd prefer?

Let me know...

I'm also in need of an LCC preferably. Need it for the new white laser I'm working on. I'm currently using an LOC but I only have one, does the LCC have wings like the LOC? I haven't used one yet.

Yes, it does have wings but the can adds a certain level of protection to the die that LOCs don't have.

I'm looking for 2 or 3, not much of a hurry, but shipping from the uk will prob be quicker and less expensive than from australia.

I found 6 quid for the LOC's, but how much are the LCC's?

I suppose its best if you extract them to save postage weight, although i don't mind doing that myself.

Yeah, I can extract them. (Didn't want say I'll just send the sled with the x6 BR included! hehe!)

I'll have to make them £8 because of extraction and because it'll devalue the GGW sleds they come from but if you're happy with that then I can get them out for you. Just let me know when. Of course you can have a complete sled for £32? Up to you.

I'll leave them in the heatsinks for you for the journey but I've found these so much easier to extract than the LOCs. You can almost just push them out!

Over to you...

[Edit: Ramsey_innovations - Did you want some from me or will you find some stateside? May be quicker and cheaper for you to try there first? If you get no luck then drop me a line.]

I'm not that familiar with the GGW sled, so i'm a bit in the dark there.. i dont fancy bluray that much, but does it have any useful optics, like the PHR as the dichro and R/Y combiner cube that are useful?

Btw Morgan, about the whole sled/extraction thing: i'd be happy to accept sleds with the bluray diode removed/sold but the lcc still in there, if thats more convenient.

Hi Ben,

Any sled that has had the BR extracted has already been stripped I'm afraid so I have no semi-complete sleds at all, (although if I do happen to find one then you're welcome to it and the goodies inside). Extraction is not a biggy though so don't worry about it.

I'm not sure the optics are SO useful as the PHR but only perhaps because not enough experiments have been done. I was trying to search last night, (before crashing out!), for a thread I know is there. I think Daguin lines them all up in a photo and identifies some of them. I believe there is a dichro, (identified by a UK member. Laserboystuart perhaps?), that reflects red and BR and passes green but I'm not sure of the pass/reflect wavelengths and have no idea on efficiency. Certainly different to the PHR dichro though. I'll see if I can find any useful bits for you to send as well although the rest seem to be simple PBS and combiner cubes for red/ir as the beam paths in the GGWs are seperated until the last. Nice combining cube solution for that last bit though.

Have a search for that optic thread. It really is the most comprehensive one on these sled optics that I read.
