Thanks Juan, your findings are always very useful :beer:
about the 3W pointer, I'm afraid that it's a scam, it was recently reviewed and it outputting about 300-400 mW. The second one is interesting :)

Anyway this member has 361 transactions and 100% positive, but I think is normal to doubt haha.

You thought the option to do it yourself? 808nm TO-5 with ~1 ~1.3W diodes are relatively inexpensive and easy to find.

I think because the laser works, but very few people have a LPM to test the real power of the pointer :)

BTW for my purpose is good also a 100-200 mW 1064 IR pointer (rare)...
