do you have any old JVC or Samsung vhs cameras laying around they usually have ir filters but im not 100% sure but i have a few of what i think are ir filters. do some research on em.

do you want me to help? i dont think i can. i have a camera but i dont know how to put pics in the threads. and im still not sure if what i have is a ir filter. do you know how to to embed pics?

What I do for a ballpark estimate of IR readings in my laser is I'll measure the power of the laser (say it turns out to be 40mW) then measure the power of the laser going through OD 4/5+ glasses that protect against 532 but not IR and get a reading (usually maybe 17mW for a 40mW total) and assume that still some green gets through obviously but most of that 17mW will be IR (maybe 15-16mW). Therefore you can safely assume that the laser is at least 20mW of pure green.
