Hey guys I'm looking to buy a nice high powered red, blue, or violet laser pointer it doesn't matter what wavelength it is and I could also use the safety glasses for red and violet if I were to get one of those colors I already have 2 pairs for 445 blockage. Thanks for looking hope to hear from you soon and see what you've got to offer :)

A pair that blocks 445 should also block 405 (violet), just make sure you have a good quality pair (at least one, and then use that one only). All too often things are marked with high ODs but are really OD1 or OD2 which will not protect you.

Might I suggest you head up to the review section and just scan through the first couple pages of which brands, powers, and wavelengths people are buying, and then read the reviews for the ones that interest you. There is no single source for quality goods at low prices in this industry (no WalMart Laser), so you pay more for good service or take a chance on possibly not getting what you paid for.

Good luck on your search!

I appreciate the response! And that's good to know that the 445 blockers work for 405 as well that's a money saver! Haha and as far as brands or places to buy I would seriously much rather buy a custom built laser from a member on here because I consider that a work of art that someone took the time and energy to build that specific laser, know what I mean?

Ah, gotcha. Well you might want to settle down on a wavelength and a power and then search out the makers here. Threads like yours tend to be a "help me find a laser to buy" and people often skip over them without reading. I've had good luck contacting the various makers here via PM with my specific requests.

A $125 top of the line module from DTR + suitable host from one of the various custom host makers would be my top recommendation. You don't have to mess with possibly killing your diode, the driver is set up and installed inside the module housing, and all you need to do is install the module in a suitable host and connect the battery contact board to the DTR module. I'll be building one as soon as I can save up the $200 total needed and Eudaimonium finishes his new host.

Hey - if you are gonna by from ^, I have one that I built (it's a 445nm laser) that outputs around 1.1W of output power. I'd part with it for... probably $140 + shipping?
