Title says it all :D

I'd like something capable of burning black plastic, not just a baloon popper/bag burner. Must be reliable(not going to die in an hour's time). I really like green burners, but they MAY be out of my leage price-wise, and are hard to find homemade(with the exception of a fellow forum member here that is going to let me know when he has one for sale).

I am not sure of what mw rating to ask for, as I have not had a high power red. I do know my Newwish 150mw greenie(which does well, so I am guessing puts out at least 120mw) will only burn through things like baloons and black bags. I want something more powerful. Plus a visble red beam would be something nice to show off:D

Price has to be reasonable. What I am sure I can afford is a homemade setup.

Feel free to reply in this thread or send me a PM. I live in the USA.

Thanks much!

Visible red beam isn't gonna come under like 500mw really :p
But there are some nice choices above.

Also, red beams are not very visible, at 200mW you can only really see the beam if you look down the beam.

I can see my red beam at night from perpendicular angle, just needs to be pretty dark. Or at daytime if there is some stuff in the air, such as dust or fog.

It has to be pretty dark for me to see the beam of my laser, and I can only barely see the beam when perpendicular to it. But everybody has different eyes, so the beam might look brighter to you than me, I do have really bad eyes by the way :D
