Hi everyone,

I was looking to see if anyone had a darkhorse custom heatsink. I am doing this tutorial Building a High-Power Blu-Ray Laser. I believe it is the DJR Full Body V2 Heatsink that I need.

thanks in advance!

Yes, it probably is, but Dark Horse is not making Heatsinks atm and I doubt you will find any individual heatsinks for sale (but anything's possible!)

Have a look at Ehgemus' classic Dorcy Jr. heatsinks, it may work with the tutorial too... (I'm only guessing here, 'cause I have exactly zero DIY abilities... :yabbem:)

Ehgemus makes heat sinks for both the old and the new style Dorcy Jr. The assembly is a bit different with the Ehgemus heat sinks, but you should be able to adapt. If you need help with how the assembly is different, re-post for help when you have all the parts in hand.

Make sure you know which style you have (old or new) before ordering a heat sink. They are NOT interchangeable.

How about $18 shipped?

Take note of Daguin's post as well, this heat sink was made for the old style Dorcy flashlights. I used to have a couple extra Dorcy flashlights but sold them to someone on LPF. They are a bit rare now-a-days.

thanks,
Kendall

Nice! You've had that one aging on the shelf awhile, eh?

Yeah. That is for the old style Dorcy.

I wish I had known it awhile back when I was selling off all the Dorcy stuff from the GB trying to recoup some of the shipping I was never reimbursed for.

I still have a couple of the "short" heat sinks for them

If this guy doesn't take it, I think that ScopeGuy20 has a couple of old style Dorcy's. He might be able to take this off of your hands

I would be more than happy to take it off your hands for $18 shipped. I have the old dorcy flashlight so that isn't a problem. I got lucky on amazon, they only had 4 left when I bought mine. PM me with what information you need from me. (sorry I am new here and don't know the protocol for this kind of thing )

And a super big thanks to everyone who replied. I thought this might be a long shot seeing as how dark horse isn't selling them. I am glad to see some people still have/make them.
