I'm looking for a good blue laser for less then $200 if possible. I like the silver look. If anyone knows of anything let me know. Power I would like something around 500mw or more.

First, do you have safety goggles?

Even looking at the dot of a 445nm laser is dangerous from up close. Direct hit or a reflection will do damage literally faster than you can blink.

Second, where are you located? Most people will not sell outside of their own country so as not to have to deal with customs.

I'm in the US

And do you have goggles? Or are you planning to buy? If so, what goggles are you planning to get?

Given the information you provided so far, I wouldn't sell you a laser... neither will anyone else if they think you will blind yourself or others.

If i knew how to post photos at this point i would. I'd post that famous photo of captain picard holding his forehead. Yes of course I plan on having glasses. No i planned on spending a decent amount of money so i could blind myself. :banghead:

No offense intended, but you'd be amazed how many kids come on here wanting a 1 watt burning LAZOR, and safety be damned.

So what goggles are you planning to get (I'm trying to figure out if you did a little homework or not)?

Btw, little button that looks like a mountain on a postcard, you can paste picture url into that or just use image tags. For example: [*IMG]http://www.roflcorner.com/wp-content/gallery/facepalm/FacePalm%20(2).jpg[*/IMG] I added the asterisk so you see the code.

Well I know that especially in a house with your typical white walls you need glasses. Everyone always talks about the glasses on dragon lasers. As long as they meet the requirements for whatever beam your laser has you should be ok. I'm 27 and yes I am a NOOB with lasers as I have never owned a high power laser. But I do have common sense I and I know the dangers of lasers. If you have any recommendations on glasses as well as lasers it'd be greatly appreciated.

Eagle pairs from survival laser. They are GREAT. Message Garoq he owns the company and LPF members get a little discount I think. And as of lasers custom made laser from members here would be the best. FOr power and quality. And they also not as expensive at premade 445s

As goggles go, these work well: Eagle Pair® 190-540nm Standard Laser Safety Goggles

You can also buy good goggles from laserglow, and dragon lasers.

Of course the best option is to buy certified goggles from oem laser systems.

As far as lasers are concerned, I have two I wouldn't mind selling that fit the bill... that's why I was grilling you about the goggles:)

An ehgemus host that puts out 1.3W and a kryton host that does 1.4W.

I'll post pics in a minute.

The one on the right (the shorter one) is the Ehgemus, the one on the left is the Kryton.

The ehgemus does ~1.3W with an aixiz lens, although if you put in a g1 lens it will be around 1.4-1.5W. I'm looking to get $240 for it. Originally bought it for $290 a while back.

The Kryton is newer, also uses an aixiz lens... does 1.4W the way it is. With a g1 I'm sure it will hit 1.5W, even ~1.6W. I would sell this one for $200.

On both of these I will check how much paypal fee and shipping is... because a couple of people had issues with post office had issues with shipping recently, I will only ship insured.

Am I blind already. Isn't the one on the right taller then the one on the left? I'm assuming they use rechargeable batteries for power?

LOL! No, you're not blind yet... but I have to tell I saw the specular reflection from a dot from the ehgemus from a foot away once... scared me A LOT... a direct hit or reflection WILL blind.

The one on the right, the Kryton is a little bit longer. It's ~6.25" the smaller ehgemus on the left is 5.5".

Both can use either primaries or recheageable 3.7v lithium batteries.

I'll include a set of recheargeable batteries with either laser. The ehgemus uses one 18650 battery.

The Kryton can use either two 16340 or two 18350 batteries.

I have several that I'd be willing to sell, ranging from 550mW up to 1.6W. From left to right they are:

1. MXDL in MIlky White putting out 550mW. Runs of of 1 CR123. I would sell for $150

2. Ultrafire Pocket Mini, with 5 mode operation, custom highly polished focus ring and running at 700mW in high mode. I would sell ths for $150

3. Ultrafire Pocket MIni, single mode operation, copper Heatsink and copper module, custom highly polished focus ring, and running at 1.1 Watts. This one I would sell for $175

4. Hotlght. I have 2 of them, one silver and the other anodized blue, one runs at 7.2V off of 2 CR123 batteries, the other at 3.7V off a single 18650 Batteries. Both do between 1.5 and 1.6 Watts. I would sell either with your choice of diode/driver combo for $130

5. Finally,on the right I an Ehgemus host which still needs to be built and could be built in whatever configuration younwanted. Price would vary as per your build request.

All would include a set of batteries.

And a Pocket Mini in my hand for size comparison

Even smaller yet, the MXDL
