I've blwon ~$28 on this driver. It has killed 3 PHR diodes, and quite frankly, I'm sick of it. I got about $10 on my Paypal, I'm looking for a cheap driver. If I could ask more of you, could it be set to 90mA? Thank you!

why you continue to use diodes on a faulty driver after it had already killed one:thinking:

anyways your not gonna find a driver for $10 unless you go with an ebay one, in which case you would do better with the one you have now... maybe make a DDL?

Because if it only happens once, you can't assume it's the driver, it could have been any number of things. And it was putting out 95mA, I checked with my DMM. Then I turned it down, still killed a diode. It could have been anything when it killed the first diode, but then the second one proved it was a malfunctioning driver.

It was a Rckstr MicroDrive V3
I wasted $28 on it because I wasted money on the driver, and 2 diodes. So $28.....
Powered by 3x 10440 batteries in a 3405 host.

Well, I guess it's not right to assume you knew this, but my main build thread where I explained the current and everything else, I answered ally our quesrions, qith the exception to how did I test it.

Send it to me. I'll check it out. You can send it in a padded envelope for less than $2

Peace,

I can tell you the issue with it, it would only work on 'full power' if the + in side pad was also connected to the '3R01' black looking brick component. I'll see if I can get it to you, PM me your details.

But it looks just as small as the flexdrive....Darn, I was hoping I found a cheaper substitute for one of Jayrob's kits.

EDIT: NVM 1mm too long, and 2mm too wide. >.<

Yes, and I have already confirmed without a doubt it has nothing to do with the diode, or ESD. It's the driver. But, to entertain your question, yes I have been discharging the caps.

I know, and I'm explaing my situation, that's all. I'm not trying to yell at anybody, I'm a little tense right now. I'm being flooded with memories I did not need to re-see. I don't know if I'll be the same for the next few days...weeks...months....forever... I'm not feeling right, and it's not your fault, I'm just not feeling right!...
