Assuming you already have a soldering station and a multimeter, you would need a

This=$27
and
This=$20

You might want to buy a couple diodes (2-3) in case you kill one by soldering the driver to the diode.
I believe people run their diodes around 300mA.

If you want a violet instead, you'll still need the Aixiz module, but you would buy a PHR-803T diode from one of the forum members.
I wouldn't recommend going above 150mA with the PHR-803T unless you have very nice heatsinking (No more than 180mA with good heatsinking). The PHR-803T diode will give you about 130mW's+, the Sony diode 200mW's+. If you want to burn things you'll definitively need some safety glasses.

Well this thread is 5 years old, and this is your first post.

Stonetek died a while ago.

Introduce yourself in the welcome section, and don't necro post.
