Does anyone have an extra one laying around they could sell me? Or is there anyone willing to machine one for me? Or does anyone know a professional looking/functioning alternative?

Yeah I saw those but was looking for something a little more local. At least within the US.
That is going to be my back up plan if all else fails.

One of the least expensive and quickest ways would
be to go to your local hardware store and pick up a
3/8" bolt. Then cut the bolt to a 1-3/4" length.
If required you can put a layer of electrical tape or
Heat Shrink on the bolt's side.

Thank Jerry! I have to go to the hardware store today anyway and I already have boot cutters. I'll give it a try.

Try some of that clear plastic or rubber flexible tubing that's sold at the hardware. It comes

in different inside and outside diameters. Just cut it with a razor to the length you need and

stick the right size bolt inside of it and you are ready to go. It's cheap and it will work in a

flash. Just get the right size tubing to fit inside the laser. Just a thought. Mike :D

Threaded rod cut to size with either electrical tape or shrink tube would work well. I've made other battery spacers that way before.

I bought a bolt, Cut it to size, added a small square magnet to the end to replicate the nipple at the end of normal AAA batteries. Wrapped it in electrical tape. Works great!
Thanks for the tips. Would have preferred something a little more professional looking but this will work.

Just found these earlier today but didn't get a chance to post until now.

AW AA Battery Spacer

Sorry I know my timing sucks. :p

Edit: oops. Wrong size. I thought you were looking for AA not AAA.
