So I've been slowly building up a collection, and instead of going right to LaserGlow or Optotronics, I would rather give someone here the money for a laser that has been tested and used instead of going right to a company.

Not that there's anything wrong with going to one of those companies, but the more I think about it, the more I think it would benefit myself and others than the company directly.

Anyway, here's what I'm looking for:

Basically any green laser that is over 300mw, but it has to run off of 18650 batteries, and I REALLY would prefer that it is a PL-C/RPL style host like this:

Or

rpl-425-portable-green-laser-2.jpg

Or even:

I'm entertaining offers but I am trying to stay below 500$ if at all possible depending on what's for sale.

I already have a battery and charger, though I don't have greenie goggles YET... If I get the laser before the goggles it just means I'll not use the laser until I get my goggles, unless the seller has green-safe goggles they could add/toss in with the deal.

Anyway - That's what I'm looking for and figured I would put out some feelers before buying directly from a company if it would/could benefit someone here instead.

As a side-note: I do live in Canada, which means you have to either be in Canada, or be comfortable shipping to Canada. I don't at all mind paying extra for faster shipping, my main concern is getting a nice, powerful greenie :)

thnx Moe-- IMHO thats good advice. All 250mW JETL PL-C 532s are at LEAST 300mWs average. This may be the last JETL GB btw and it will end soon.

ps they come with really cool looking eyeware(good for almost all wavelenghths) in a nice case and free diffraction grating.

Thanks for the replies - I had definitely considered a GroupBuy, as I had seen the thread already ;-) I'm still debating, because someone actually PM'd me about a group-buy they had done already, and have a laser they're willing to part with that is a little under my power range, but also perfectly in my price range too. :)

I'll have to see if I magically come up with some money somewhere, but for now, I think I might actually be good!

Thanks again for the advice though - I appreciate it!
