Glad to see I'm not alone in using the pinched ground wire trick. :D
Sometimes I drill and tap into a 90 degree pocket and use a set screw to clamp the ground wire, but it's just not always necessary to do that.

Yea it is a very secure method. I actually make about a 2mm groove on the lower part of the side of the module so it slides in easy.

Hi J,
Now thats sweet i thought about that configuration of the driver in a pocket love it ,no play on the diode pins.

Are you using a mill or a drill press with a milling bit??

Wow that adapter is much nicer than mine! The one I bought has a smaller positive contact and it's very loose. It keeps sliding back when I tighten the module on. I'm probably gonna have to find some sort of adhesive to keep it in place.

Not sure what you mean by sliding back. Do you mean the 510 pin in the adapter? What one did you get? These are the same ones that I have always used and the only ones of that fit on the 22mm modules that I know of and have tried several others.

I bought this and took the adapter off of it. HCigar 3D Atty Clone Free US Ship!!!

I bought your heat sink and it works perfectly fine but the 510 pin seems to move when I screw it in. As long as I don't mess with it to much it works perfectly fine but when I unscrew it and put it on another mod I sometimes have to put the pin back down.

Ok i know what you mean by that, The reason is that every vape mod 510 pin is not always adjusted in or out the same distance . Therefor when you change vapes you have to adjust the pos+ pin on the vape for contact. Mind you that all vape mods are not adjustable this is why your not making contact it is not the DTR 510 heat sink. So if your vape pin is adjustable for hight then set it ,this will be done for all your mods to work with DTR's 510 modules. No adhesive is needed if you do it will only work with the one vape you set it to

Update: Perfect fit. They are exactly the same as the ones we know. There are about 90 of them left.

I bought 3 and they don't fit perfectly - they are WAY too loose. They will not THREAD onto the DTR heatsink, the ones I got from them slide over all the threading on and off :(

Version 1 or 2 heatsink? I just received 2 of the version 1 and the adapters do not fit. I had 2 spare adapters left and I thought they would work. The ones I linked work perfectly with the 5 version 2 heatsink I have. I have asked DTR for a suggestion for the version 1.

The version 1 heatsink thread OD is about 2mm smaller than the version 2. The thread pitch seems to be the same. I believe this will be a hard part to source.

I may have found a solution. If your going to wedge the negative between the module and heatsink you will need continuity between the heatsink and module. What I have tried so far is to wrap the heatsink threading in electrical tape. Do not overlap the ends. This takes up the gap quite well. The rim of the adapter still makes direct contact with the heatsink so you have continuity. /win :wave:

Not a bad idea - thank you. I'll try that if I don't find one the correct size.

I was thinking something similar but with a conductive foil to take up the space.

Same idea as the helicoils for stripped threads.
