Hi Guys,

Looking to buy 2 (or more) LCC 650nm diode (from GGWH20L sled).

I already have 1, looking to experiment with Knife Edging and PBS cube combining.

I did have 2 x LOC but managed to kill both before they even got used, delicate little bugger... If I am correct, the LCC provide a better beam quality right?

Can anyone help me?

Cheers.

The beam is the same, and they die at lower powers.

There are pro's to using the LCC aside from them being
easier to handle, but ive only seen the pro's when
used in portable applications.

The LD's I believe you are thinking of with "better beam quality"
it would be the 3.5mm LOC from the 12x sleds. They do not produce
that ugly line through the dot...

If you are interested in the LCC diodes (which are capable of powers just as high as the LOC) I have plenty to spare. PM me how many you would like.

They can achieve high powers, but if knife edging an array,
it would be a waste of time just to have an LD blow after 10mins of use...

I have had them go with less than an hour of continuous on time
at as low as 180mW.

Not worth the effort IMO if you are setting up something
that takes time to align.
